Office Space

01

Renders A small office space in a multi-use office building in Chandigarh. The interiors reflect the city with its exposed brick surface and raw wooden partitions. The planning was kept simple, dividing the space into three areas- public, semi-public and private. Workstations for the employees have been kept in the first part, second part is the conference room, and the owner’s cabin is the private space in the end.

Bamboo Mesh and Polycarbonate used prevent the heat while providing views and an intersting play of light. The roof also provides the possibility to admire the night sky.

The main of the design was to bring out the essence of Chandigarh with a given theme of ‘Digital India’. The pavillion is weaved through iconic ‘Corbusian’ elements and his contributions to the city of Chandigarh. The theme ‘Digital India’ was represented through LED boards, digital kiosks, writing boards, holograms etc.

04 The theme of the workshop was to light-up areas of the college which are not used to their full potential. The basic idea here was to depict the co-existence of the built environment and nature in three different phases.

1. The time when humans came into the world. Living in caves, in harmony with nature.

2. The present scenario of chaos, where the humans have destroyed the mother Earth and the nature is taking its revenge.

3. The ideal state where the nature and the built form strive together. The practices of green and sustainable buildings.

Holiday Home on the Hills

House by the hill

05 The site, located on a slopy terrain, with picturesque view of the mountain ranges and looking upon a lake, provided the most essential elements for the design process The double storey house with its sloping roof tends to merge with the tall trees and the mountainscape
