WELCOME TO TWO WEEKS OF SUMMER FUN SANDWELL ARTS FESTIVAL 2011 Welcome to the Sandwell Arts Festival 2011, two action-packed weeks of events across the borough featuring top local talent in music, dance and visual arts.

The theme of this year’s festival is Celebrating Industrial Heritage. A particular highlight is the magnificent Sandwell Foghorn. This year we are pleased to take the festival to all of our six towns. Open the brochure and make a date to ‘see it, do it, get creative’.

Sandwell Council, The Public, Multistory, Sandwell Third Age Arts, The Primary Care Trust, and Black Country Touring are working together to make the festival an essential date in the Sandwell calendar. I’m Famous

Saturday 23 July 10.00am-2.00pm FREE The Public, New Street, West Bromwich. A day featuring activities, games and workshops. Allen Ahlberg life in Oldbury is the inspiration for funny stories and fun illustrations. On 8 July the artists, poets, illustrators and filmmakers respond to his work. Art of story is presented by Black Country Touring, Multistory and The Public.

To be famous... or infamous that is the question. Message in a Bottle Message in a Bottle follows one young man poised on the brink of oblivion, deciding whether or not to plunge in.
