First international podium Jakob Dorigoni conquers in the classic race of Nalles (BZ) the first podium of the year in international competitions for Merida Italia Team, finding again the smile after a rather unfortunate beginning.
The Junior race was won by Edoardo Xillo, alone in the lead since the first lap, while Jakob Dorigoni has fought to the end for second place, losing it in the sprint but still giving an impressive final. After the final downhill, just when He thought of having in hand the second step of the podium, the athlete of Laives was joined by Folcarelli, who has overtaken Jakob before the finish line. The mates Lorenzo Calloni (22nd) and Vanni Frassoni (39th) have instead fought for positions further back, but still well-focused and without making big errors. However the racing day for Merida Italia Team began well before the Junior race, with Riccardo Simoni (52nd) and Martina Bassi (9th) engaged in the youth categories. The two have carried out an excellent race, although unfortunately a flat tire in the final stages has compromised their final result. In the women's race the Juniores girls of Merida Italia Team have started in the right way, facing the first climb with a lot of determination. Fiorile Allocca (18th) has finally appeared in a better physical condition, showing progress in recovering from the injury that had plagued her in recent months. Giulia Lazzari (21st) was
not, however, appeared determined and concentrated as in Milan, and after the finish line she was not certainly satisfied about it. On the next Sunday Merida Italia Team will be again engaged in a major competition in Montichiari (BS), final round of Internazionali d'Italia Series, but especially race valid for the UCI Junior Series.
