DRC main sponsor of Merida Italia Team After officialy being in for the first time in XCO Racing World the company D.R.C. confirms the sponsorship to the team from Emilia for other two years, indeed strengthens the commitment, thus obtaining an image to be the main sponsor.
This important agreement, along with the one recently signed with Merida Italy, contributes substantially to build the programs that will see involved the athletes in international field. From the technical point of view the sponsorship will regard still the next season wheels with Climber XC 29er rims, assembled on PMP hubs. This is not a real news, as it represents the wheel used during last season, but was much appreciated by the riders for both the exceptional weight and also for its significant qualities like responsiveness and reliability. However it's not impossible that, in the current season, will be also provided "prototype" wheels made with a new rim Climber XXL, result of the evolution that the technicians of DRC are projecting in order to market the latest solutions in terms
of channel width (25mm) and a further weight reduction of well 20gr. DRC is in fact about to give birth to her new flagship model, the Climber XXL, the first rim all over the World in light alloy with Hookless Design channel. Thanks to this innovative coupling on the channel, flanked by the width of 25mm, the tire will take an unobtainable form with traditional rims, gaining a better driveability and increasing the grip. Climber XXL, thanks also to an offset of 3 mm between each spoke (increased by 50% compared to the more classic Climber XC) , enables to minimize the difference in tension of the spokes, allowing the wheels to be even more light, rigid and reactive. DRC also decided to renew the graphics of its products, using the support of a last generation laser machine.
Thanks to this new technology, the company will be able to create new graphics that, among main characteristics, boast the total absence of weight realizing also a very hi-tech aesthetic.
