Pragati Maidan, New delhi, India Museum

Individual | Acadamic project | Sem 5 | 2022

I designed a museum for the city of Delhi that exhibits all kinds of paintings and artifacts in a magnificent environment showcasing the history and present capabilities of the city. The museum creates an iconic structure that attracts tourists and many more people with its unique selling point being the structure itself. I applied all my designing and software skills to create this awesome project, and it has been an exceptional learning experience for me.

Superhero pod

Seattle, Washington, USA

Individual | Acadamic project | Sem 2 | 2021

An interesting project for a hypothetical case and a client who is a superhero with special superpowers that create different requirements and defy all conventional standards followed in architecture. The design caters to a superhero with a supercomputer attached to their brain, enabling mind control at multiple levels. This project allowed me to unleash my creative mind and all software skills, making it my favorite project

The shower secretly doubles as an elevator to the secure lab. While being fully usable shower.

The form of the lower deck (lab) makes no doubt to anyone, Yet works fine as all inputs are feeded by Brain-Machine Interface without any physical interaction.

The aquarium adds aesthetic and dynamism to the chill zone and secretly acts as a test subject for the mind control experiments that’s carried out by azmuth.

The roof is stuffed with anti-missiles, radar and hitech weapons, in case of an attack it defends.

SECTION

Concept : A tower higher than the peak rising up from an extrusion offering a 360 degree thrilling view.

Cons: Highly vulnerable to attack from all sides.

Concept : Removing a slice of the mountain and housing the pod within a glass wall making a modern cave.

Cons: Insensitive towards nature, Impact on the environment is too high.

Concept : A Ring all around the mountain that extrudes out from the mountain.

Cons: Too large and doesn’t go with the landscape.

Concept : A pod extruding out from the cliff, partially carved in the mountain.

Pros:

Protected from 3 sides by the mountains. Sits almost near the peak. Tiny amount of mountain is carved reducing impact.

Residential design

Chennai, India

Individual | Acadamic project | Sem 4 | 2021

A stunning beach view villa for a musician in Chennai with state-of-the-art technology and thoughtful design that solved all the requirements. I took design cues from the site constraints and client requirements and envisioned the house to be a mix of modern and traditional elements that feel new and familiar, thus making the client feel at home with all the elements from their old traditional home.

Zoning is sensibly done such that all bedrooms and living gets a view of the beach and still doesn’t interpret the circulation or hinder the privacy.

The Massacsphere

C P Kukreja NASA

Jallianwala Bagh, Punja, India

Group of 3 | Competition Entry | 2023

The massacsphere is a installation designed for Jalian Wala Bagh, Amritsar, Punjab marking a historically significant event the Jalian Wala Bagh massacre thus creating a installation that evokes emotions that firmly creates a impression hence making people think and remember it. This was created for C P Kukreja trophy in association with NASA with the theme of 75th independence day and our entry was shortlisted.

Symmetry is maintained throughout the structure.

Starting from the bottom, it follows a circular base with concentric stairs raising up to form a uniform crystal.

The structure is balanced with the officers holding guns adjacent to each other, through which people can go in order to experience the space from within. The design tries to resolve the narrow alley which emcompass the mass captivity as survivors within the small space got caught. This was done by placing three entry/exit spaces along the triad axis.

Concept

other and this also with each merged to one and past.

Significance

The upcoming generation ought to know about the xenophobic frame of mind which can result into mass persecution of thousands. It showcases how simple answers to complex problems can result in effective responses and illustrates the dangers of prejudice, discrimination and dehumanization. This event becomes a basis and one can co-relate with othersuch occurrence in different countries that led to major uprising.

It also demonstrates the fragility of community where people from the same race but under different jurisdiction and possession can execute their own ones and the aftermath of the brim of oppression one can withstand.

The main aim is to resuscitate the feeling of internment trying to rescue from drowning in the blanket of death. Thus the sculptures connected to one another bulge out of the spherical vacuum. Moreover, the gunmen are holding up the entire mass as they possess the entire control and fate of the sufferers. The overall globular structure with individuals holding to one another conveys a sense of unity and harmony.

In the first instance, the spectator gets a mixed feeling about the horrific past but marvellous piece of art. This enclosed structure expresses strong emotions of captivity and restriction. The contorted framework of victims disorganised reminds and alarms the shameful event which must never reoccurence.

Materiality

The main primary material of the structure is a steel alloy of copper which is meant to depict the Kada (One of the five major K’s in Sikhism). Most of the victims wore this before their last breath so it becomes an integral part of the material in context.

The glossy texture and its highly polished exterior have no visible seams and the surface reflects and distorts the war memorial present next to it. It also reflects the activities of the spectators which make them realise the pain and suffering from their shoes.

Certain portions of the steel structure are layered with corten steel which invites weathering and thus forming of reddish brown rust which portrays the bloody screams of the victims.

Brass has a major influence in Amritsar due to its infamous utensils craft making. Thus the similar is used in the gunmen who possess control over their actions and also bear the entire load of the mannequins

3D modelling | Rendering | Design inputs

I have a passion for technology and have become well-versed in many software programs as a result. One area that I am particularly interested in is 3D visualizations. After creating several ultra-realistic renders for academic projects, I leveraged this skill to freelance for multiple clients and gain insight into the workings and requirements of the industry.

Working with Arun AC at Archniido gave me extensive exposure to the retail sector, from design to management and project execution. I created various types of designs, drawings, BOQs, and more for high street and mall projects, through which I learned about bye-laws and norms. I worked on over 20 projects in the retail sector, including designing, drafting drawings, presentations, executions, and more. This experience has been invaluable to me.
