Liposuction is not really surgery!

Liposuction Is Not Really Surgery! A common misconception about liposuction is that is a relatively minor procedure. But be warned it is a major operation, requires a hospital stay and a general anaesthetic with all the attendant risks. There is significant swelling and bruising after the operation, recovery can be painful and, even if all goes well, the final results may not be seen for four to six months when post operative swelling has subsided. Support garments will also have to be worn continually for around a fortnight and there will also be scarring of about a quarter of an inch where the cannula was inserted. As with any surgery, there is a chance that it won’t produce perfect results – skin irregularities are a common problem after lipo.

Liposuction was developed during the seventies and has been around for nearly 40 years but over the last few years, newer technology has paved the way for much improved and safer versions of the procedure using local anaesthetic e.g. BodyTite which is radio frequency assisted so it not only tightens the skin but is less invasive, safer and has less downtime. There is also some great new technology which is completely non invasive to body sculpt and tighten skin, my favourite is Pro Shock. But it’s no point having any fastest way to burn fat if you don’t commit to leading a healthy lifestyle after treatment, i.e. eating a balanced diet along with daily exercise.
