Sweater season! This season we’ve focused on one of our favorite techniques, cables. With classic cabled sweaters, bold cables, and allover cable patterns, we hope you’ll find a project perfect for you. Because I want to wear them nonstop, I know I need cardigans that can go from cozy mornings on the couch to more polished evenings out. PALOMAR by Carina Spencer knit in Highland (Worsted Weight)
Palomar was designed and knit on a two-week summer road trip across the American Southwest, where the air is hot and dry, and the populations are sparse. The rocky desert landscape inspired the lines of nestled diamonds across the front and back, and the gentle curves of waist shaping incorporated into the cables at the sides. It is knit in one piece, bottom-up, with seams only at the shoulders, making finishing a breeze. HALYARD by Mari Chiba knit in FLY WHEEL (Sport Weight)
Inspired by the beautiful stitches found in a Japanese stitch dictionary, this is a variation on one of my favorites. The original stitch was lacy with bobbles, and I updated it for a simpler stitch pattern that creates a great overall fabric. Intended to be worn with positive ease in the bust and fitted sleeves, this boxy pullover is effortlessly worn with jeans for fall and winter.
