ADMISSIONS PROCESS

STEP 1 | Forms & Documents

The first step in the admissions process is to fill out the application form and submit together with the required supporting documents.

After submitting all your application documents, a confirmation email will be sent to your email address. Your application documents will be reviewed by our admissions team who can then schedule your child(ren) in for their assessment if a place is available.

If no place is available for the time requested, we will discuss other options that might be suitable to you.You might have the option to join a waiting list, after payment of the waiting list fee, we will get in touch if a place opens up for your child(ren). A new assessment might be required when a seat becomes available again.

Application Form: Apply online via this application form.

List of supporting documents required to submit together with the application:

1) Student

• Copy of the latest school report (1 Term only)

• Copy of the student’s birth certificate

• Copy of the student’s passport

• Photograph (recent passport size photo)

• For Year 12 applicants only: a copy of mock or IGCSE results and a School reference (if applicable)

• For Thai nationals:

• Copy of the student’s house registration certificate

• Copy of the student’s Thai ID card (if applicable)

2) Parents For Thai nationals:

• Copy of both parents’ Thai ID cards

• Copy of both parents’ house registration book For other nationalities:

• Copy of both parents’ passports

• Copy of both parents’ work permit (if applicable)

3) Guardian (if applicable)

• For Thai nationals: Copy of guardian’s ID card

• For other nationalities: Copy of guardian’s passport

4) Boarding: for boarding students only

Guardianship is required for your child’s boarding place at Harrow International School Bangkok. More details will be provided during the admissions process. A guardian must be

• over the age of 25 years

• resident in Thailand

• within 2 hours travelling distance from the School

• equipped with a sufficient level of English so that School can effectively communicate about the needs of your child

Please note, as part of the Admissions process, we will ask for a confidential reference from your child’s current/ most recent school. We will kindly ask you for contact details to help obtaining it.

STEP 2 | Assessment

Our assessment format varies depending on the year group.

If you are currently located in Bangkok / Thailand

• Early Years (ages 18 months to 5 years old) – In class observation on campus and parent interview with an academic team member. Expected duration : up to 1 hour.

• Pre Prep (ages 5 to 10 years old) – Academic test on campus, in class assessment and interview with an academic team member. Expected duration : 4 hours.

• Upper School (ages 10 to 18 years old) – Academic test either online or on campus and interview with the Head of Phase. Expected duration : 2 hours.

• Sixth Form (ages 16 to 18 years old) – Additional specific subjects tests might be required.

If you are applying from abroad

We can arrange for you to take these assessments and interviews online.

Boarding

From age 8 and above, if boarding is chosen, an additional interview with the boarding House Master / Mistress (online or on campus) is required.

Application fee

Prior to the assessment, a THB 5,000 non-refundable application fee will be charged.

You will be notified of the assessment results within 5-7 working days by telephone, followed by an official School letter.

STEP 3 | Offer

After a successful admissions round, an offer will be sent to you together with relevant supporting documents to fill out, as well as the first invoice. The offer is limited in time and your placement will only be confirmed after sending back the documents required and making the first initial payment of the relevant admissions and School fees.

If your child, unfortunately, has not been offered a place, you will be invited for a re-test, free of charge, between 6-12 months.
