Interactive art is a form of art that involves a special way of displaying the art that allows the art to achieve all its purpose. Some interactive art installations achieve this by observing the thing or visitor first reaction when they are around them. It is completely different from traditional art. Some Interactive art includes computer technology in it, but it is very difficult as well as classy sometimes and it may take the form of an interactive website or digital interface if designed technical in order to support performance.
Art became interactive due to audience participation in it. Interactive art is used to define 3 dimensional installations by putting something else inside something. It completely depends on the audience behavior. Art keeps on changing depending upon the customer reaction.
Why it is called as an Interactive art? Art becomes interactive when audience participation is a main to be participated in artwork. Audience behavior can cause the artwork to changes on its own. While making or creating an interactive art, the artist goes beyond every considerations including how it will work, how it will look or sound to the customer or audience. The way that the art speaks or interacts with the audience is very crucial part and obviously it matter because of its essence. The core of such art is in its behavior more than in any other aspect. The creative practice of the artist is different depending on his perspective or state of mind.
Why it is created and for whom? A painting is always an static piece of art , and a painter considers audience reaction always on priority, the perception of color a customer want, how he or she relate things together, their relationships, scale or figurative references is most important. Interactive art is always an audience’s behavioral response to the artwork's activity that matters most to an artist.
Audience engagement cannot be seen or dependent on the time taken by the artist to complete it, because it is the first reaction that comes from within and first impression is always the last impression. It needs to be in terms of what they do, how they do, how they interact with the audience, how they present there thing and such questions as whether they experience pain or pleasure.
