Laurel Springs was designed with families in mind. Location within the Community
5990 Whitestone Lane is located towards the front of the community making it easy access for the kids to ride their bikes or walk to the clubhouse, tennis courts, or pool. From the front gate, take your third left onto Ettington Drive and then take your first left onto Whitestone Lane. 5990 Whitestone Lane is located in a flat, private cul-de-sac on a private interior lot. The sellers of 5990 Whitestone Lane are the original owners. The sellers love to cook and entertain so the kitchen also has extra outlets throughout. There is an appliance garage, a built-in Kitchen Aid microwave, double Viking convection ovens and warming drawer. The refrigerator is a Viking refrigerator with the matching wood panels and the pullout bottom freezer drawer. Eat-in Kitchen
Just beside the kitchen is the vaulted eat-in area located beside the double-sided gas fireplace with a marble surround that matches the marble in the kitchen and a custom wood mantle that matches the custom wood cabinets in the kitchen. This fireplace is warm and cozy and comes with a set of gas logs. This room has a bead board chair railing and heavy moldings and is open to the new addition – the fireside keeping room with built-in bookcases and a real wood burning fireplace. This fireplace has a gas starter, a brick surround, and a custom wood mantle. My favorite of all is the custom beaded wood ceiling stained a darker wood color to match the kitchen cabinets. The floor in the keeping room is travertine stone. Again, there are transoms above the doors that go out onto the lovely veranda which encircles the saltwater pool. As you stand in the keeping room and turn around and look back into the kitchen and eat-in area, you will see the brick exterior of the home that was there before the room addition. There are extra can lights and windows and three pairs of French doors. There is a walk-in pantry just off of the kitchen and the laundry room which was just freshly painted. The laundry room has an extra deep utility sink with drying racks and tons of shelves for storage. The laundry room also has a window allowing for natural sunlight, a travertine floor and a built in ironing board.
Other Rooms Close to the Kitchen & Laundry Room
There is a powder bath with travertine flooring, special custom vanity with a Rohl sink bowl, antique faucet, and a marble countertop. This powder bath was also remodeled when the kitchen was done. Seller chose Thibaut Designer wallpaper for this room and an antique light fixture from France. The powder bath also has a leaded glass window built into a shutter frame that can open to allow for cleaning and regular use of the window. There is a hall coat closet as well.
Garage
There is a three-car garage with an epoxy floor finish with flecking and plantation shutters. Veranda
Now let’s go back down the hall, through the kitchen and keeping room and back out onto the veranda. This veranda is a covered porch with columns that wraps around the pool deck. This veranda is brick and has ceiling fans throughout the porch. The pool deck is made of Coolcrete – so it is not hot to the touch and will not burn your feet. The pool is a pebble tec salt water pool with heated spa and a stone ledge for sitting around the spa and a built-in stone waterfall. The pool is enclosed with black aluminum fencing and has two exterior gates for easy access. The sellers also built a stone wall with a built-in Tec Grill. There are exterior lights that come on at night in the front of the home, at the pool on the waterfall, and at the back walkway behind the garage. The pool equipment and storage are located behind the fencing to the side of the pool. There are built-in speakers and special plantings for privacy – some include Green Giants and Leland Cypress. The pool deck is gorgeous. The sellers even have a special planting area built into the pool deck. The seller is leaving the huge pots in this planting area. There is a Filter Pump and Waterfall Aqua Link RS8 pool system with freeze protection. The pool is currently maintained by Sunshine Pools.
Great Room
From the kitchen into the Great Room you have a wide case opening that has been trimmed out by the seller’s custom cabinet people. Also, from the Great Room you see the other side of the double-sided fireplace. This side of the fireplace has a custom glazed wood mantle with a slate surround. This room has special moldings and a special designed coffered ceiling with a wood paneled ceiling fan. There are built-in bookcases and French doors – all across the back of the home overlooking the veranda and pool. These French doors can be opened up as well as the French doors in the keeping room for large groups and parties. There are built-in speakers on the veranda and the pool controls are hidden behind the curtains in the Great Room. This system can be operated from your iPhone. There are three receivers that run this system. Master Bedroom
Down the hall from the great room is another coat closet. Then just past this coat closet is a master suite and master bath. The master bedroom and bath were completely gutted and taken down to the studs and redesigned. There is a huge custom built wardrobe and sitting room just as you walk into this luxurious master bedroom. There are two closets. There is a smaller closet up front near the sitting room and a huge closet at the backside of the master bath. There are stone shelves and a stone bench and an all glass door. This elegant master bath would not be complete without a slipper tub with claw feet and an overhanging faucet with the hand held spray nozzle. Once you pass through this exquisite master bath, you come to your second master closet. Back down stairs and to the terrace level, you will notice the antique sconce on the walls, the open iron railings and a carpet runner with a solid wood landing. There is a media room, a custom built bar, a recreation room, an exercise room, another office, another bedroom with a full bath and tons of storage. Also on the terrace level is a gun closet with a metal door and its own separate lock and key. Both the media room and the recreation room have the specialty coffered ceilings. The sellers gutted the full kitchen on the terrace level and built a gorgeous PUB BAR/KITCHENETTE. The bar has granite counter tops, custom wood cabinets – that match the upper kitchen cabinets with the seeded glass doors in the upper cabinets, all stained the “Special Walnut”. This bar has a paneled Bosch dishwasher to match the custom cabinets, paneled Kitchen Aid icemaker, GE built-in microwave and an under counter beverage refrigerator with a pull-out wine rack. This bar design includes a special “crisscross” wine display, a bar sink, and an appliance garage. The backsplash is the same granite as the counter tops.
