Upon few years studying in Architecture college I understood how difficult it is to ace a perfect design and at the same time realised that providing a little room for imperfection in design is an added benefit in itself. The core reason for me to enter Architecture was that the structures around where I grew up weren't interesting to look at or were at all interactive, there was no sense of awe or helped a child tap into his never ending imaginative side. Not until I travelled and explored new places I realised it was possible for a structure to be more than what I had seen and it kept me thinking about it for days on end. To take care of the look and feel of the structure, its functionality and budget, as an architect of my designs I felt it was very important for me to take care of all of these and understand the user and their needs in the best possible way to provide them with the best possible product. I certainly put in a lot of efforts to understand or rather find the problems and then find the best possible solution to the problems. The designs that are shown ahead in this portfolio are the examples of such thought provoking solutions‌. I seek to explore state of the art problem solving methods and techniques, absorb professional etiquettes and skills of architecture and look forward to imbibe new things, improvise skills, adapt to circumstances, overcome benchmarks and develop a rational demeanour. I will continue to sharpen my skills to excel in innovation which will justify my potential to be an asset to where I work.

SEMESTER 5 ARCHITECTURAL THEORY: PRESENT NEED OF EMOTIONS IN ARCHITECTURE AND ITS VERY ABLATION DUE TO INCREASE IN EMOTIONAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCEMENTS. GUARANTEE IF READ WITH PATIENCE AND UNDERSTOOD WOULD KEEP YOU THINKING FOR DAYS!!

PRESENT NEED OF EMOTIONS IN ARCHITECTURE AND ITS VERY ABLATION DUE TO INCREASE IN EMOTIONAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCEMENTS. AIM: To let the readers imagine, analyse and compare two worlds, our present world where there is a significant need of emotions in design and our world in future wherein the technological advancements have reached its optimum level. To understand the need of emotions in architecture in the present time and to experience the decline in its need in future because of people being able to get an extremely strong grasp of emotions, due to ever exploring nature of human beings even after reaching the epitome of technological advancements.

HYPOTHESIS: There is a basic requirement of emotions in space if not then space becomes lifeless where it's merely a volume. Presence of emotions in design gives a certain essence to the design which makes the user more aware of himself/herself and also about the surrounding. There is also a case wherein in future when we humans would have reached the optimum level in technology and still when not being able to get all the answers since we have always tried to find them within the physical dimensions and limitations unlike what we have learned or heard from monks of our nation. If after that, many people would try looking for answers due to an ever exploring evolutionary trait of humans, majority shall resort to the olden methods of exploring and acquiring knowledge via focusing by different means of meditation. OBJECTIVE: Shall be explaining the impact of architecture before and now on the basis of methods followed by the architects. Due to this how the kind of behaviour and thought process of people developed towards architecture. Explain the difference between modern science and ancient science of our country and the two basic different behaviours of the people following them; which in return shall impact the architecture of the future. SCOPE: This draft explains influence on architecture, of design in accordance to the emotions of the people, stating its importance. At the same time show how there will be a decline in needs of emotion for residential buildings in the future due to the evolutionary traits of human beings. LIMITATIONS: The research is purely based on articles, videos, seminars and psychological facts. No general public survey was performed while the research paper was written. It is on the basis of the human evolutionary process and considering our planet shall not face any drastic changes in future. ABSTRACT: Imagine a future where our world has reached the epitome of technological advancements, there will still be many cases in which the science of the time shall not be able to answer many questions. This is all because of the fact that the modern science has always made its mark and its core of existence on the basis of its relation with the physical world and within physical limitations because of which many branches of modern science are reaching a dead end.The modern science is slowly coming towards what our country’s ancient sciences said thousands of years ago. There will surely be a huge impact of this on people in future and humans shall resort to the kind of lifestyle many of our monks have been following.

KEYWORDS: Emotion,space,present,future,science,meditation,architecture.

There has always been a need of emotions in design in architecture, I personally think architecture should make us feel different, make us tap into our emotions, if not engineering is enough. Space is called space because of addition of emotions and some essence of it in a volume. Architecture built in the accordance with the thought process and keeping in mind different aspects of users lives makes it really strong , known and long lasting. This is because the user has been able to experience the space and feel or imbibe the emotions in themselves which the architect planned, this capability made the architecture strong.Space built without the consideration of emotions of the users ends up being a place where its users end up having little to no connection(good or bad, depending upon the need of the client) with the structure above the physical connection, this not only decrease its more than functional capabilities but would also translate to the presence of poor design in architecture. Over many years many different architects tried to follow many different methods on the basis of slogans for designing like less is more, less is bore, etc. and the era of designing like modernism, post modernism, etc. in all of these there is a very significant blind eyeing towards the very primary users because of which there have been many structures that have failed to a really great extent. Surely and unfortunately over the years a greater belief of people in architects have reduced to a large extent since architects themselves started giving the best of engineering and not of architecture. Over the years there were a few architects and many more now which have been working towards the emotions and thought process of their users , following the slogan yes is more , meaning the best possible way of designing keeping in mind the users, the surroundings and the era of construction making the method an evolutionary method and hence an everlasting way of architecture. Aspects such as these show us the very need of emotions in architecture. Imagine a future where our world has reached the epitome of technological advancements, there will still be many cases in which the science of the time shall not be able to answer many questions. This is all because of the fact that the modern science has always made its mark and its core of existence on the basis of its relation with the physical world and within physical limitations because of which many branches of modern science are reaching a dead end. There has already been a state where the physicists have failed to move ahead in the different theories they have proposed and as a result are not able to get the answers that we need, for example billions of dollars of funding have all went down in drain when they failed to prove the existence and behaviour of “Higgs particle”.The monks in our country and also of the ancient times are said to have had knowledge about these things way before the modern science started coming into picture, even now the kind of knowledge and deeper understanding which our monks have, who have engrossed themselves by giving up their social life in search of these answers continually say that one shouldn’t limit themselves within physical boundaries during the search of such answers. The modern science is slowly coming towards what our country’s ancient sciences said thousands of years ago,one such example is how people initially believed that our planet is the centre of a finite space whereas now the modern science agrees to the fact that space is continually expanding entity which was defined by one of our monks many years ago. Unfortunately in today’s world there is a direct relation of science to technology or else there would be no funding to the modern science practicioneers. People who tried talking about modern science without its advantage to the ease and technology had to meet a very dreadful end, many were even killed. The best example of this can be of Galileo who was killed because he stated that the earth was round and went against the church at the time, since he had not come up with any technology that added to the technological advancement because of earth's shape being round. The answer searching monks of our country have always been above this and many have given up their routine lives, being isolated from the world and access universe greater than what one can imagine by closing their eyes and focusing.Example of this can be that many star systems have a pair of stars in which one star orbits around the other but in today's time with the help of a high powered telescope found that there is a pair of stars which orbit each other and go hand in hand rather than one being stationery, the followers of ancient sciences in our country did know about it many years ago and due to this there is also a tradition which is followed for hundreds of years in many families of south India where on the first day of marriage the couple face themselves in the direction of this constellation called " Arundhati Vashista" and pray because of the stars’ behaviour or during the marriage ceremony itself during many of the Hindu weddings. There are many such examples which prove the might of the ancient science followers and what they were able to achieve by seating in small cave in some corner of the world and focussing. There will surely be a huge impact of this on people in future and humans shall resort to the kind of lifestyle many of our monks have been following where they can access a different space in themselves and have no need or dependence on the attributes of the physical world, thereby causing the explicit need of emotions in design for residential spaces lessening or none at all. Materialistic households living in residential spaces shall be able to retain houses with the presence of emotions in their design because that is the closest they shall be able to get because of their inclination towards materialistic lifestyle. Households above the materialistic lifestyle , who are closer to the emotional side of themselves and yet do not let it overpower them, those who are keen in the process of exploration and learning shall see a significant decrease in the presence of emotions in their design as they shall be escaping into spaces beyond the reach of physical dimensions. This will be the reason behind the lessening importance of quality of spaces where their physical forms shall be residing.
