HHartselle City Schools was established in 1975 and quickly became a sought-after district of educational excellence. Hartselle City Schools is dedicated to equipping students to meet the 21st-century global opportunities and challenges with confidence, skill, and passion. Hartselle City Schools is comprised of six campuses; three elementary, an intermediate, junior high and high school plus the Board of Education. The student population is a tremendous representation of diversity in ethnicity and socioeconomic levels having approximately seven percent minority and 31 percent qualifying for free and reduced lunch programs. Specials services are available for students through the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (I.D.E.A.), Title I reading at the elementary level and Advanced Placement classes at the high school level. Hartselle City Schools offers a wide range of extracurricular activities and opportunities for participation in sports programs ranging from fishing to football, as well as dual-enrollment courses. Hartselle City Schools is blessed with outstanding community support; whether sporting events, concerts or pageants, festivals or field days; family and friends come together to make each event an exciting experience for every student. Students have opportunities to participate in Community Theater events at The Burleson Center and service projects with local churches and civic organizations.

Barkley Bridge Elementary School

Barkley Bridge Elementary School is located at 2333 Barkley Bridge Road SW, Hartselle. Tina Towers will be entering her 5th year as principal at the school. There are 33 certified teachers in the total of 47 staff members who serve more than 400 students. Barkley Bridge is an AdvancEd STEM School, a Blue Ribbon Lighthouse School of Excellence, a Project Lead the Way Launch School, and a National Blue Ribbon School. Crestline Elementary School

Crestline Elementary school is located at 600 Crestline Drive SW, Hartselle. Karissa Lang will be entering her fifth years as principal at the school. There are 44 certified teachers in the total of 70 staff members who serve almost 500 students. Crestline is a Blue Ribbon Lighthouse School of Excellence. The school serves grades Pre-K – fourth.

F. E. Burleson Elementary School

F.E. Burleson Elementary School is located at 1100 Bethel Road NE, Hartselle. Phillip Jarmon serves as principal. There are 43 certified teachers in the total of 58 staff members who serve almost 550 students. Burleson is a Blue Ribbon Lighthouse School of Excellence, a National Green Ribbon School, and an AdvancED STEM School. The school serves grades Pre-K – fourth.

Hartselle Intermediate School

Hartselle Intermediate School is located at 130 Petain Street, Hartselle, AL. Earon Sheats is entering her third year as principal of HIS. Their team consists of 31 certified teachers and 17 support staff who serve more than 500 fifth and sixth grade students each day. Hartselle Intermediate students and teachers were recognized as a Blue Ribbon Lighthouse School of Excellence in 2019 and a State and National School of Character with Character.org in 2020. Hartselle Junior High School

Hartselle Junior High School is located at 904 Sparkman Street, Hartselle. Rocky Smith is in his third year as principal. There are 39 certified teachers in the total of 56 staff members who serve more than 500 students. The Junior High is a Blue Ribbon Lighthouse School of Excellence. The school serves grades seventh and eighth.

Hartselle High School

Hartselle High School is located at 1000 Bethel Road, Hartselle. Dr. Brad Cooper is entering his fourth year as the school’s principal. There are 78 certified teachers in the total of 106 staff members who serve more than 1,000 students. Hartselle High School is a Lighthouse School of Excellence and ranked #11 in US News & World Report’s Best High Schools in Alabama. HHS serves grades ninth through twelfth.
