Exploring the Legacy of the Nile River

Take a trip back in time during our monthly Book Club discussion. We will discuss River of the Gods, Candice Miller’s epic recounting of the harrowing story of one of the greatest feats of exploration of all time and its complicated legacy. Millard presents the amazing quest undertaken by three men who took on the almost impossible task of finding the source of the Nile River. A Nominee for Best History & Biography (2022) by the Goodreads Choice Awards, River of the Gods is story of courage and adventure, set against the backdrop of the race to exploit Africa by the colonial powers. Please note that our book clubs are discussion based only with no author appearances.
