Traditional Urban Parameter Urban Design - Application of Voronoi diagram on Traditional urban fabric in Shorjah region in Baghdad The project is a development for urban planning of Shorja region in Rusafa in Baghdad which has a rich organic urban fabric was formed as a result of random organizing of habitants residential units and commercial spaces in the city during the time. The project within architectural design course in Department of Architectural Engineering in Al-Nahrain University in Baghdad. The design is an experience applying of Voronoi diagrams on the old organic urban fabric of the city. the region and the important spaces in the fabric depending of points that are obtained from urban analyzed data of Voronoi cells within the application of this diagram. the generated Voronoi cells were applied to create the forms and voids in the urban design of the studying project, to redefine a new urban pattern of urban region. We transformed 2 parts in the generated pattern to creates 3D Voronoi forms in design of futuristic towers used as hotels for tourists and landmarks in to contribute to activate the center of the region.

Roboitcally Fabricated Urban furniture in public spaces in Barcelona Team : Hasan Hadi Abdulameer , Jennifer Jiang “Plastic is killing marine wildlife” “Plastic pollution crisis: How waste ends up in our oceans” “Ban on plastic straws”... These headlines saturate the media. Same stories with slightly different narratives, but all pointing fingers at plastic as this climate destructor. Plastic is not the antagonist; our detached understanding of plastic’s life cycle and waste management is. From data collecting on waste generation to context analysis and implementation sites, we propose a simple yet comprehensive set of plastic upcycled urban furniture for the touristic center of the city of Barcelona. Our proposal reads in three components: horizontal seating surface that serves as a bench, integrated plastic waste collectors (i.e. plastic recycling bins),
and curated display of plastic recycling p perceivable through the porous pattern of the bench (i.e. illustrating the different waste management phases). This urban furniture integrates and illustrates the timeline that follows the moment a piece of plastic is turned into waste -- to continue the story of what happens after our consumerism point of contact. We see our project as a creative reuse of plastic recycling and upcycling. Our aim is to invite small recycling action, to bring awareness, and to educate the residents and tourists of Barcelona on plastic reuse. We challenge ourselves, through our proposal, to narrate the large-scale waste management supply chain to the human-scale of the individual experience of everyday public life.

Branded Parametric Environment Temporary Sales booth for Zain Iraq Corporation in Baghdad international Fair Team : Dina Ghalib Omar , Hasan Hadi Abdulameer Recently branded environments of many distinguished corporations around the world have invaded the global market, to rise their products value and competing to get more customers. How to reflect the brand image in architecture was one of challenges in this field as per the differentiations in aspects, but a magnificent experience in the middle east may found the key of to open the lock of adapting between brand and architecture. A unique experience in Baghdad International Fair witnessed the first birth of the new generation of parametric Booth implemented temporarily in the annual fair of products in Baghdad. Branded Environment Section at Zain Iraq Telecom corporations subtracted new idea in their branch in Baghdad international fair by designing a sales booth distinguish the brand reflection through parametric design.
The Parametric form extended the experience of Zain brand through impressive characteristics by reflecting the concept of the revealing and utilizing the roof to create physical embodiment of the brand and produce the “revealed brand space”. Contouring was the parametric strategy to create the subtracted parametric form. This strategy by dividing the curvy surface to separated wavy segments characterized one of the brand image principles the “Continuity”, and this in turn contributed to emphasize the internal space which created other dimensions for the form. Digital Fabrication way by depending on parametric strategy by using Rhino, Grasshopper 3D ,by making definitions inside grasshopper to export the contoured form in pieces to CNC “Computer Numerical Control” machine. The used material was medium-density fiberboards. Then the resulted cut panels were numbered as per its series in design.

Twin Sun Trackers Design multistorey building within enviromental sensibility in Baghdad considering sun radiation factor in performative design workshop. The motion strategy of sun flower comes as a sequential result for its fabric transformations in its cells. That Inspiration reflects the strategy of the changes which happens in tower’s body and openings is the inverse impact which happpen in sun flower fabric. When radiation impact reachs high degree moivates twin towers to transform to make twisting which consequently creates a shading areas of towers as well as reducing the area of openings facing the radiation to allow photovoltic cells to absorb solar energy . Then the openings which facing river increases its area to satisfy best view.
