How to Help Children Handle Stress

1. Exercise: Growing children need physical activity even when they are in Exam mode. This helps regulate their blood pressure and stress levels and keeps them calm. 2. Communication: Having open communication channels with no judgment is important. The moment children feel that they are being judged, they will not open up to you. 3. Family Time: Having dinner together as a family and talking about the day’s events in a casual manner is always helpful. 4. Weekends outings: It might be boring for you or you may not enjoy it, but what reactions are they seeing when you have to take them out? Are they happy to see you feel unhappy about taking them out? 5. Stay relevant: Unless you are able to relate to your children, you will not be able to tell what issues they are facing and not be able to help them. Stress comes in different forms for children. Unless you are able to help them cope, they will not be able to manage it well.
