SHOW & SALE WEEK UP TO £2060 This months show and sale was well attended by plenty of buyers, the judge for the day was regular purchaser Graham Hargreaves. The Champion animal was the heifer who won her class; Fennswood Czar Fay, this super heifer from regular consigner J H Wynn & Partners calved on the 12th April and was milking well achieving 38kg daily, she was secured by Messrs BG & MA Elkin & Sons Ltd of Hilderstone for £2060. The reserve champion was also from this home Fennswood Czar Tutu, yielding 38kg daily she was secured by Oakley Farmers of Dorrington for £2000. The third prize heifer from R D Bramhall Foulscote Molly 90 th calved on the 4th April and and was yielding 34.5kg daily she was secured for £1920 by BG & MA Elkin & Sons Ltd A good consignment from J & S Arrowsmith, Linconshire sold to £1660 for Pasturesnew Cherished Carol, this fresh heifer was giving 35kg daily and was secured by W D Davies, Market Drayton. Heifer ranged today with plenty selling between £1300 to £1600, Coloured breed heifers sold to £1150 for a Norwegian Red cross for O C Whittaker Ltd. Not many cows in the sale today topping at £1140 for a very milky cow from RJ Clare & Partners, this good cow Hawksmoor Baroness 56th was yielding 53kg daily and was purchased by J S Madders & Sons, of Tixall. In Calf heifers sold to £1090 for E G Stoakes & Partners. Thank you once again to all vendors and purchasers for your continued support.
