£2300 Top call at this week’s sale A smaller entry today but once again all of the animals on offer met a great trade the ring was packed with buyers to bid on the days offering with many going home today empty handed, quality milk cows and heifers in high demand throughout, to achieve a £1600 milker average. £2300 was the top price for a storming heifer from regular vendor MW &J M TrevorJones, this pedigree heifer sired by Balcombre calved just 9 days and was yielding 34kg daily, she was secured by the Hunt Partnership, Crewe. A couple of super heifers from Neil Jones’s Fenshall herd sold to £1950 for Fennshall Aftershock Princess this lovely heifer which calved at the end of may was yielding 27kg daily and was secured by Messrs DW Lea & Son also taking another super heifer home with them from Malcolm Jones at £1920. Neil Jones achieved £1880 for Fennshall Bossman Pamela, this heifer secured by Oakley Farming Ltd. A sweet heifer from O W Whittaker & sons realised at £1850, purchased by the Elkin Family. Mature cows in their 6th lactation to £1220 for J A Evans & Son, purchased by G Jones, Habberley. In calf Heifers to £1300 for Dave Boden Heifers Calves born on the 25th May sold to £300 for Phil Scott and a consignment of Kiwi bred calves sold to £240 for WA Grant of Much Wenlock.
