Hi, I am Interior and Lighting designer based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. I have graduated Interior Architecture and have 5 years of experience in luxury hospitality projects. I’m honored to be part of the design and build process of Emerald Harmony river cruise and Emerald Azzurra accommodation sea-going yachts. I have learned from experts in naval architecture and experienced designers, it not only shaped my aesthetic concept of design in general but also built my foundation of practical construction in detail... Materials bring natural comfort and give to spaces a warm and cozy feeling. We look for materials that are deeply involved in Vietnam ‘s culture. Local and traditonal materials combined with a contemporary design lead us to a new interpretation of vietnamese architecture style.

The circle as a shape of harmony and natural cycle.

Inspired by old boat window, like an opening catching a landscape in motion. Circle refers to several cultural elements of vietnamese tradition.

Patterns reflects vietnamese artistic fields ; organic and geometric. The repetition can be inspired by elements from the nature or abstracted shapes. On fabrics, decorations, floors or walls, patterns become a common thread between spaces.

IVOIRE PASTRY Ivoire resided in the city central metween many historical spot of the city, like the Notre-dame Cathedral, Saigon Post office, and closeby busy street Dong Khoi with both modern and heritage buildings.

IVOIRE PASTRY A house (used to be a print shop) to be renovated to a pastry, located between a lawer office and a painting gallery. Opposite to the house are Donut Dunkin, and the park in front of Notre-Dame Cathedral. area: 50m2 architectural design: 5 blocks of house designed in French Indochine style. NGUYEN DU STREET - Views around Ivoire The street is now fulled of aged trees, occupied with administrative offices, schools and restaurants, coffee shops, bakery, pubs, cinema, weekend markets in few walks. Lighting: poor lighting for surrounding area, even for the indoor and facade of restaurants, boutique and cafes.

DONG KHOI STREET - View from Notre-Dame Cathedral This formerly rue Catinat was the center of Sai Gon gathered most of admistrative offices of French colonist. Dong Khoi St is now home to many of Saigon’s most memorable colonial buildings: The Opera House (1897), Hotel Continental (1880), Hotel Majestic (1925), Grand Hotel (1930), Caravelle (1959) and new-built buildings like Vincom (2009). Lighting: mass lighting - brings the chaotic pace and the lively vibe of the city business district, but not the vibrancy to the lighting globally.

SAIGON CENTRAL POST OFFICE Saigon Central Post Office is a post office in the historical heart of Ho Chi Minh City, closeby the city’s cathedral. The building was constructed when Vietnam was part of French Indochina in 1891, counts with Gothic, Renaissance and French influences. SAIGON CENTRAL POST OFFICE Lighting: Lighting designed by French designer. The lighting concept purposes to modern meets heritage, focus on architectural elements (arched windows, valted roof). - Approach : use one color temperature and type of lighting -> minimalize the methode, but still achieve the effect and brightness -> differ strikingly the building with its surrounding. METROPOLITAN MUSEUM OF ART- 5th Ave, New York - by L’Observatoire International led by Hervé Descottes The idea is to reveal the depth of building’s facade and assist wayfinding in its new Olin-designed plaza. Ho Chi Minh City has been known for its rapid development, which turned the city into a hustle and bustle hub attracting more and more people from neighbouring regions. In fact, the overgrowth population and related issues had brought more pain than gain : the city no longer the ideal environment and living quality that its habitant has been seeking. Thereby, ELEK would like to propose << the forest>> to be the concept of Republic Plaza.
