Learning outcomes Upon completing this course, you will be able to: Be reflective toward your
own existence as individual and as part of larger social community. Critically respond the socio-cultural and religious issues, develop the democratic attitude toward diversity, and possess commitment to improve the quality of Indonesian culture and society. As well, students have an inclusive or even pluralist view in responding religious diversity. Think critically, creative, systemic, scientific, ethics and aesthetic in expressing your own concern toward the development of Indonesian culture and environment. Apply principles of religious values in a multicultural society.
The purposes of this course are to: • Describe and analysis the concept of self-identity. • Describe and evaluate the historical and institutionalized roots of discrimination and prejudice, • Develop a sociological framework for the analysis of majority-minority relations, • Analyze the negative impact that prejudice and discrimination have upon communal social relations and the global social order, • Discuss and analysis various approaches to the study of religions (philosophy, psychology, anthropology, sociology, and theology). • Explain the history of religions, the relation among religions from sociological, theological perspective. • Discuss and reflect the attitude of having religion and being religious.

Discussion-Moodle (25 %) “Author says & I Say” • Individual assignment. • Each assignment consist two parts: 1. a written summary, statement, an idea from selected reading we will call it “Author says”. 100-150 words 2. written reflection or response based on your experience, and other researches, we call it “I say”. 250-300 3. After uploading, each of you has to respond to other postings, at least 2 postings of each topic. 4. Each of assignment must be completed and accessible by the lecturers by a day before class
