LOOKING BACK: THE FIRST FIVE

We will celebrate 70 years of the magazine, fi rst as Chain Saw Age and then eventually Power Equipment Trade, next year in 2022, but this year is the 30th anniversary of Hatton-Brown Publishers acquiring Chain Saw Age and beginning to transition the title to Power Equipment Trade—a transition that was complete by the July-August 1993 show issue. While we have a little birthday party for PET planned later, fi rst a look back at our fi rst fi ve years covering International Lawn, Garden & Power Equipment Expo (EXPO), as industry’s biggest and best family reunion also has grown and changed a lot over the last 30 years—including merging with the landscape contracting focused show in 2007 to make GIE+EXPO.
