WHEN DID YOU FIRST DISCOVER ADORN BOUTIQUE?

We have lived in the Lake Travis community since 1994 and I began shopping at Adorn in 2010 when it first opened! In 2017, I started working here and it was always my happy place where I enjoyed spending time. In 2022, I was very fortunate to purchase Adorn from the Charlet Family. It was pretty much perfect, and didn't need to make many changes at all. Now I'm currently working on expanding the brands that we carry.

Haute Interview with Lake Travis Film Festival

WHAT IS YOUR MISSION FOR THE LAKE TRAVIS FILM FESTIVAL THIS YEAR?

This year, we’ve made it our mission to ensure our community is aware of the festival and, once they experience it for themselves, feel a sense of pride in their hometown festival. We’re doing that by doing a lot of community outreach, sharing our love of cinema through cost-free, easily-accessible programs. For instance, we're hosting filmmaking workshops year-round that are available to people of all ages and abilities. We’re also hosting a movie screening series at outdoor locations across Lake Travis this summer, beginning with the lakeside screening of Jaws.

THE PROGRAMMINGS AND SCREENINGS HAVE EXPANDED THIS YEAR. TELL US MORE ABOUT IT.

This organization’s mission is to bring awareness to and build appreciation for the craft of filmmaking, especially for the next generation

of filmmaker We want filmmaking to feel real and accessible for them, and we’re doing that with hands-on events. TexArts, another great local organization, will be here to teach them how to perform in front of real cameras with real directors. We’ll have a real prop master here to do a show & tell. We’ll have a screenwriting workshop with a Hollywood pro. We’ll have a roundtable of high-profile content creators talking about the process of creating and distributing content. We want everyone to have a great time - but we also want to inspire them to be creative.

STAR HILL RANCH IS THE PRIMARY VENUE THIS YEAR. WHAT EXCITING ACTIVITIES WILL TAKE PLACE HERE?

While the festival has hosted events at Star Hill Ranch in the past, this is the first time we’ll be using it as the primary venue. The reason for that is simple: we wanted more of a fairgroundstype atmosphere where families can walk around

TRAINING

Jumpstart your goals with one free complimentary fitness assessment when you become a member! Our expert personal trainers design customized workouts centered around your needs. Our Athletes in Motion (AIM) department offers training built for youth and adult competitive and recreational players utilizing athletic conditioning techniques and functional fitness equipment as well as injury and chronic pain rehabilitation.

SPORTS & YOUTH PROGRAMS

With one indoor turf field and four fullsized indoor courts, we offer a robust lineup of adult and youth sports programs and camps all year long. Adult offerings include pickleball, soccer and basketball leagues. We offer youth sports-specific skills camps, clinics and leagues in soccer, basketball, volleyball and pickleball as well as full-day and half-day camps during school holidays and breaks. Registration is currently open for summer programs and camps!
