Torel Avantgarde

Based in the center of Porto, Torel Avantgarde is an award-winning 5-star luxury boutique hotel and Porto’s only 5-star city resort that transports you to an artistic, cultural, and truly avant-garde scene.

Inspired by the “Avantgarde” years, the hotel’s design is reminiscent of the elegance that characterized the period between 1930’s and 40’s. In it, we celebrate and praise Portugal, through Portuguese art, design, and craftsmanship. Guests are invited to live, sense and experience art through a joint project by the collective Nano Design and the interior designer Isabel Sá Nogueira, together with the work and intervention of other Portuguese artists. Inaugurated in 2017, Torel Avantgarde offer a total of 39 rooms and 21 suites, divided into 12 categories, each dedicated to an Avantgarde artist. Torel Avantgardes’ best categories offer a balcony with stunning river views over the Douro as well as a private bathtub in the room or suite. The experience extends to the restaurant DIGBY, highlighting the best of the Portuguese flavors, a fully equipped gym, a pool and our treatment space Calla Wellness & Spa.
