A.R.T.NOMAD

This buzzy seasonal rooftop bar (atop the Arlo NoMad Hotel) has jawdropping Empire State Building views and food by celebrity chef Dale Talde. The cocktail lineup features eclectic botanical concoctions like the aloe, mint and cucumber blend of the Girls Just Wanna Have Fun and the frozen cocktail of the day. Insta-loving patrons will marvel at the glass floored “sky walk,” which gives anyone brave enough a bird’s-eye view of Manhattan from 31 floors up. 11 E 31st St

THE GREENS

NYC’s ultimate outdoor dining retreat returns this summer with socially distanced mini lawns and unrivaled sight lines of the lower Manhattan skyline. Surrounded by promenades with views across the East River to Brooklyn, the Greens at Pier 17 features 28 cabana-like pods meticulously aligned across a faux lawn. DEAR IRVING

An elevated perch at the top of Midtown’s Aliz Hotel that feels miles away from its Times Square location, Dear Irving is the highest openair hotel bar and lounge in Manhattan. It’s also the only one with a ‘60s-era vibe, built around mid-century modern stylings, though art deco dominates the design on the second floor. OPHELIA

Ophelia, in Midtown East, sets the bar higher. Located on the 26th floor of the art deco landmark Beekman Tower, this cocktail lounge celebrates elegant interiors and panoramic views with speakeasy details and excellent drinks to boot. Ophelia’s high design and historical resonance are framed by three paneled windows with original 1920s iron framework, and there are two fully open-air terraces. The menu features old-school caviar service and oysters Rockefeller, while cocktails of note include Ophelia’s Ascension, a smoked-Jamaican-pepper-infused mezcal, bourbon, Sri Lankan palm sugar and aromatic bitters concoction that will knock your socks off. 3 Mitchell Pl
