Photographer: Zeko Eon A 19-year-old fashion photographer from Brooklyn, NYC. Criticized for his fashion sense in his own neighbourhood, Zeko has been drawn to what people define as “fashionable”. In his junior year of high school, he began using photography as a way to discover how beauty and fashion could be captured in a single photograph. Entering college at the School of Visual Arts, Zeko took advantage of the knowledge provided and began interning for fashion photographer, Bryan Taylor Johnson. Bryan began to mentor Zeko, and teach him just how much self-efficacy, motivation, and determination one needs to be successful in life. Model: Emel Skinner Emel is 21 years old. Raised in Brooklyn, New York (Carroll Gardens), Emel works at Hotel Chantelle; an up and coming NYC hot spot designed by Steve Lewis. Emel is also known for being a DJ at venues such as The W Hotel, with STADJ, Americas first Modeling Deejay Agency.

Photographer: Liam Arthur, Photographer currently working out of London UK. After being brought up by wild bears in the recesses of a forgotten Celtic land, Liam escaped with the circus and was slowly introduced into mainstream society where he learned to communicate through visual media, deciding that this was far more interesting than anything anybody had to say anyway, he took a vow of silence and started using the camera to do Photographer: Natasha Kertes A Russian born Miami based fashion/art/portrait photographer, a graduate of Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, with work shown in numerous international publications, ad campaigns and billboards. Natasha Kertes hones her fashion photographic enterprise with sublime intricacy, delicate richness and incisive clarity. A luscious stream of sensuality running through her work spins the gamut of cultural intimacies and taboos. Photographer: Sophie Scharf I was born in 1990 in suburb of Moscow called Klin. In the age of 10, I got my first camera. In 2002, my family and I moved to Germany, where we live until now next to Cologne. With 18 years, I started an apprenticeship as photographer. During this time I got myself a new camera, a Canon EOS 5D Mark II. I love it! And I love fashion! From this point, I began to put my creativity into action. That’s what made me the person I am today – a 21 years old freelance photographer, specialising in fashion photography. There are no limits, and maybe this is a one of things that fascinates me so much in fashion. Paul Mitchell Professional: Joshua Tidwell Has been in the industry for just about two years. A photo shoot stylist and a in salon day maker. Taking your hair on a journey is his first priority and feeling beautiful always comes a long with the ride. Our hair is the one accessory we have one everyday, so take a little time to show your hair some love.

Blogger/Editorial Assistant: Francesca felix I studied apparel manufacture management at FIDM Los Angeles and have always been involved in fashion interning for upcoming designers in Mexico City and helping out with fashion shows. I started studying graphic design and combined my love with fashion and graphics by making a fashion blog where I show personal interests, my love for styling and graphics all together. Web Designer: Marc Ruiz Originally from Baja California and now living in San Diego, CA. Besides working with web, he enjoys graphic design and playing guitar. Kate Jarosinska: Staff Writer/Advertising Sales Rep As a poet, I look at fashion with a mixture of dreaming, visual imagery and subtle confusion. The beauty about my relationship to fashion is that it is continually being challenged. My identify fluctuates with the time of day, the places I go and the people that influence me, so I tend to navigate through a sea of color and material only to later stare at myself perplexed, wondering if I’m really as dark or sparkly as I appear to be. My words often spill out onto a blank monitor in a flurry of imagination, inspiration and passion as I combine two of my favorite things: poetry and style. Sometimes I steal inspiration from photography, children’s books, beads and crystals or some of my favorite fashion magazines that are piled high like a stairway to heaven in my closet. At the end of the day, I try to keep my words, and my style, authentic. As the brilliant Helmut Lang said, “True authenticity will be the most important contribution artists have to offer and it is always the best idea to be true to yourself.”Amen Founders: Drea Hull and Mark Vargas Haute Magazine was founded in 2008 by Drea Hull and Mark Vargas. The two individuals are respected artists in their individual fields. The two joined forces to bring Fashion, Art, Music and Lifestyle magazines a new voice, a new perspective and a new look. They duo focuses on the look and overall aesthetic of each and every issue. As their team has grown so has their passion for their art. The team has dreams of making Haute available to the masses but currently it is only available in select locations Globally and Domestically.

Editors Note FALL is upon us yet we are already getting ready for spring 2012. Fall is my favorite season of the year. I love all of the fashion choices you have during this chilly time of year. I love to layer and in this photo to the left I am showing one of my favorite looks and a few favorite trends. 1) The felt hat is very chic for fall 2) Bell Bottom Jeans from H&M 3) Faux Fur Vest over a black bodysuit all topped of with my (pleather) motorcycle jacket. I wish the winter months lasted a bit longer so we could have a few more months to wear soft cashmere, warm wools, and leather or (pleather) if you are vegan or don’t wear animal skins. This issue is a multi- part issue. In the beginning we showcase the end of fall and present to our fashionable readers some amazing designers using faux or real furs and mixing layers in clever ways. In the second half we warm things up a bit and give you a jump start on what you should have your eye on from Spring/Summer 2012. Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!

IT’s MY SCAR Turn your personal history into a unique piece of jewellery. Claim your past and wear your story. Whether they come from cancer surgery, accidents, c-sections, military wounds or sports injuries, our scars memorialize our unique personal experiences. I have two children and I am extremely proud of them! I have commissioned a scar of my own; a stretch mark given to me by my eldest son when I was young and small. I am more than excited to wear it proudly. Get your scar at http://itsmyscar.com False Lashes that Last I love a false lash! I was so excited to find The Lash Studio. I love the look of the individually applied false lashes. The lashes are applied using a strong adhesive, and must be done by a skilled professional. There are several options in terms of how full you want you lashes. The Lash Studio offers the flirty look which is the most natural and my favorite look to wear. The Mascara look which is a bit fuller and looks like you are wearing several coats of mascara and the full lash look which if very similar to the fullness of the strip lash. Each set of lashes should last 6 weeks with fills needed ever 2-4 weeks.
DESIGNER REVIEW
Looking at Lenny Leleu’s designs you can
instantly see that they are more than just unique. I immediately notice the interestingly cut out shapes and geometric lines that hug the models in an experimental and unusual manner. Her daringness to play with adventurous juxtapositions mixing tailored designs with homographic detailing makes the complex brand even more intriguing and eye catching. She has a very innovative touch and daring eye, smartly creating “wearable art”. Her take on fashion is fresh and modern without forgetting the past. Her haute couture swim wear can be easily translated into ready to wear but it is definitely not for the faint hearted. As I scroll through the pictures of her collections I feel more than just sex appeal oozing from both the models and the swim wear. The photos evoke a sort of dream like paradise and a state of mind that seems out of this world. The way she portrays her line makes it even more mesmerizing to see. Lenny was born and raised in Germany but eventually moved to Belgium to study fashion design at the Royal Academy of Arts Antwerp. After achieving her goal of getting her masters degree in Fashion Design at the Academy, Lenny moved once again but this time to NY where she kept moving forward with her plan to work on and design her own label. Before reaching her goals, Lenny first interned with people such as Daryl K, helped assist Jeremy Scott during Paris Fashion week, and worked as a costume designer and stylist for different projects in New York. After hard work and determination Lenny Leleu now has her own swim wear collections ranging from the years 2005-2001.
