At Doctors Hospital, donor support has been vital in enhancing the level of care our patients receive. From helping to fund the intensive care unit renovation to purchasing new equipment such as the AccuVein vein illuminators, which minimize medical errors and enhance patients’ comfort and safety by enabling clinicians to accurately visualize the veins under the skin, philanthropy greatly impacts Doctors Hospital’s ability to offer high-quality care to our community. Thanks to the dedicated clinical staff who strive for excellence each day and the continued improvements made possible through philanthropic support, Doctors Hospital was named among the Top 5 Hospitals in the Region by U.S. News & World Report. The hospital also earned a 5-star quality rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and was recognized with an “A” grade for spring 2021 from the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade, the only hospital rating system focused exclusively on safety.

Looking to the Future

Thousands of patients come to Doctors Hospital for surgical procedures each year. While our physicians and surgical staff are equipped with the advanced skills and technology required for inpatient and outpatient procedures, the surgical suites are in critical need of renovation and expansion. A planned renovation project will help fulfill our commitment to extraordinary care and increase the hospital’s surgical capacity by offering the latest technological surgical services and equipment in larger, state-of-the-art operating rooms. Philanthropy will play an important role in providing the funds needed to begin this critical project.
