Dallas Art Fair Returning for April Showcase Texas is filled with big cities, each with its own unique local cultures. If you are a lover of the arts in Texas, one city stands out above the rest. Dallas is the center of the Texas art world, with an incredible arts district and numerous great museums. It is a place where the culture of artistic creation is deeply entrenched, and there are numerous events throughout the year that solidify Dallas as one of the key components of the Texas art scene. One of these major events is just around the corner as the Dallas Art Fair returns.
DALLAS ART FAIR RETURNING FOR APRIL SHOWCASE
The Dallas Art Fair is a large event set in the heart of the downtown arts district, offering buyers, artists, and an art-loving public the chance to view and purchase contemporary works from a massive variety of international and national galleries. It is an event filled with incredible exhibitions and important conversations, and is ideal for people regardless of art expertise, as it will be a fun and lively occasion. The Dallas Art Fair is taking place at the Fashion Industry Gallery in the Arts District. It will run from April 21st-24th and have different events taking place throughout. It will bring a large crowd to the Dallas area, including international artists and curators. Tickets are available online, with several options available. A General Admission one-day pass costs $25, with other options including an Early Access Champagne Soirée ticket for $200 and a pARTy Pass ticket for $500. Three-Day General Access tickets can also be purchased for $50. The 2022 iteration of the Dallas Art Fair will be the 14th edition. Last year, the Dallas Art fair had its first event since the pandemic began, with an event taking place in mid-November. However, the Art Fair typically takes place in spring, so this year will mark a welcome return to regularly scheduled programming. The 2021 edition also had a limited capacity, but in 2022, it is resuming with no capacity limits. There will be COVID safety protocols, including providing either proof of COVID vaccination or a negative test taken within 72 hours. The list of galleries exhibiting at the event has been released, with a typical Art Fair having more than fifty galleries. These galleries will spotlight the works of rising artists from across the globe. This year’s list of galleries has national exhibitors from Dallas to New York and Los Angeles and international exhibitors from Bogota, Milan, London, Dusseldorf, and much more. It helps provide attendees with a truly global perspective. Attendees will get the chance to walk around a large area filled with thoughtfully curated exhibits from global tastemakers. If you are looking to purchase new works, many great pieces will be on sale. If not, just browsing the latest and greatest from international artists will make for time well-spent. The primary artistic stylings are highly modern and contemporary, ranging from paintings to sculptures and collages. There is more to this event than just the art displays. The Dallas Art Fair pulls out all the stops for lovers of big social events. There are two primary parties for the occasion, the Champagne Soirée, and The Eye Ball. The Champagne Soirée is an opening night festivity that celebrates the
