60 second water analysis from Lamotte LaMotte Europe is using both UK trade shows to introduce its new portable WaterLink Spin photometer, promising a full water analysis in just 60 seconds. With a single sample of water, the WaterLink Spin measures pH, total chlorine, free chlorine and seven other parameters of water chemistry, and generates a full recommendation-based report. Specifically designed for the pool service engineer, the WaterLink Spin is claimed to be faster, simpler and more accurate than anything previously available in the pool and spa water-testing market. Utilising Bluetooth technology, the WaterLink Spin delivers test results directly to the engineer’s Android device.
Passion Spas Passion Spas, the largest selling spa brand in Europe, has officially launched its expansion into the United States. Arewell to 2013 On the last days which we say farewell to 2013, both economic and political, as well as in the political sphere there was turbulence in our country. In the time of all this was happening in our country, Betas Glass Mosaic continually kept moving forward to the 2014. In the beginning of 2012, we have introduced our brand name BETAPOOL which was specialized in only pool mosaics. Our specialization in the pool mosaics was just another big step towards to the continued development. Our other arm, exterior wall cladding and decorative glass mosaic manufacturing of our BETAĹž brand continues to grow rapidly. In Year 2013, together with our new land investments, in terms of quality and service to our customers, our growth increased 08

more than usual. In the upcoming period, this will continue to show its marks on the sense of quality and service. Our joint staff, along with the architectural firms, we have built our indoor architectural designs and manufacture products that conform to the pattern space, and different color panels further enhance customer satisfaction with the work we have. Our Common Challenges At The Sector In 2013, our country and all around the world, developments, manufacturers and suppliers deeply affected economically. Polin Supplies Carnival Sunshine’s New Waterpark Totally transformed Carnival cruise ship will feature three Aquatube slides - including the cruise line’s longest Following a massive $155 million renovation, the cruise ship Carnival Sunshine set sail in May with a new waterpark designed and installed by Polin Waterparks and Pool Systems (Turkey). The ship’s massive new WaterWorks waterpark sports a racing theme and covers 1,500 square meters (16,145 square feet). WaterWorks includes three spectacular slides and an aqua play structure with 40 different interactive water features. Among them is the PowerDrencher, a 300 gallon drenching bucket - the signature feature of the SplashZone kids’ water-paly area, which also includes twin slides called mini-racers .

Special Offerings Set These Slides Apart
Most guests will be excited about the options for older kids and adults. The main feature is the Speedway Splash, comprised of two enclosed Aquatube slides that allow riders to race along a 72m (235ft) path. Polin has designed a unique traffic light system that will determine the start of each race. The system will also display each rider’s time on a scoreboard at the end to identify a winner. A third Aquatube will be a record-breaker for the cruise line. The nearly 102m (334ft) enclosed Twister slide will be the longest waterslide on any Carnival cruise ship.

These unique offerings include: • Resin Transfer Molding (RTM). RTM technology has only recently been used in the manufacture of waterslide attractions. RTM is the leading growth technology in fiberglass production. Polin’s innovation is what led to

They have a shiny, glassy finish that creates a good look. • Natural Light Effects (NLE).Riders who zip through the slides on Carnival Sunshine will experience a journey enhanced with Polin’s patented Natural Light Effects technology. During daytime hours, each slide will come alive with colors. NLE System can be briefly summarized as light effects inside the tunnel waterslides that are created by sunlight. Translucent stripes allow natural daylight to go through the slide and create an attractive colorful effect inside the tunnel when combined with water flow. These natural effects take different forms depending on the status of the daylight throughout the day. This is truly a dynamic experience. When one looks at the slide from outside, colorful stripes can be seen on the outer surface.

• Special Pattern Effects (SPE). Using a special manufacturing technology, Polin applies Special Pattern Effects on the outer surface of a ride for an aesthetically superior look. Specifically for Waterworks, Polin applied the racing theme that is featured in the black and white coloring on the Sunshine’s Speedway Splash racing slides. The one-of-a-kind black and white patterns are all gel coated, meaning they are not painted afterwards. Therefore, they last as long as the waterslide itself. Prior to its groundbreaking renovation, the Carnival Sunshine originally sailed as Carnival Destiny, which entered service in 1996 as largest passenger ship ever constructed. Carnival Sunshine entered service May 5 in Europe following a complete transformation from bow to stern. While Carnival Destiny previously featured only one waterslide, that older model was removed and replaced with a three-story adults-only lounge. Guests will discover the new waterpark at the opposite end of the ship with a much wider variety of aquatic attractions. Algeria Our brand is growing continusly in North African countries by participating the event in Alger city, Algeria which was organized 2nd time by Trade Chamber of Commerce between 7 – 10 December 2013. We gathered good results from the visitors since our company was the only unique supplier of swimming pool equipments in mixed Turkish exhibition from different industries.
It was also very important opportunity for Turkey since the organization was held by trade chamber of Istanbul without any problems but with banquet made the visitors satisfied from all. Qatar We participated in QPS Qatar Pool & Spa show in the rising star city of Gulf Region Doha, Qatar. The show was organized by Heights events company between 26 – 28 September 2013. We took an important step not only for our brand Pina, also for Turkish Pool Industry by being in this show. It was also possible to meet with Qatar companies and neighbours around which were professionals only. Our productions, filters, lights, white fittings like skimmers, nozzles, gratings and commercialized products like pumps, ladders were showed to the visitors during 3 days in our 18 square meters stand.
Morocco Pina succesfully participated in Piscine Expo Maroc show which was held between 5 – 9 March 2014 on 5th time in Casablanca city of Morocco. We are glad to exhibit Turkish products among with international companies. It shows that our exports to Morocco will increase after this show since the interest of visitors and warm feelings to Turkish products of Moroccon people. NEWS Mediterranean Regional Office Pina has been creating the biggest regional distribution network of the industry. In 2010, Aegean Region distribution office was opened with Vey Havuz company owned by Volkan Yılmaz. In 2013, two new offices for Central Anatolia region rights granted to As-Su Su Teknolojileri owned by Soner Yalçın and Aydın Babat, same year Mediterranean Regional Office opened by Haktan Aytem under the name of Ager Havuz. All three regional sales offices were operating above the targets with very well satisfaction of clients in those regions. Factory Investment Pina is investing a new factory and logistics warehouse in Anatolian side of Istanbul with 1650 m2 open and 4500 m2 closed area in addition to current 1650 m2 facility.
After the construction, Pina brand will be the biggest wholesaler of swimming pool equipments in Asian Side of Istanbul. Social Responsibility Educational Support Pina started to give Pool Operator trainings in this year. Technically experienced instructors from our company with collabration of Ministry of Education gave training about Pool Operation for increasing the technical knowledge of industry. Certified 48h content was prepared together with Pina and Ministry of Education which aimed to train pool operators, technicians and stuff, about pool water quality, health, security and esthetically true and sustainable pool system. A very special villa in Çeşme! One of the concept projects of 2013 has been implemented with Pekcan Havuz difference in Çeşme, İzmir. This exceptional villa in a luxurious motor yacht shape is built in a very specific point in Çeşme, Fener Burnu. It has a unique location with a wide sea view in the front and Sakız Island on the opposite shore. With an endless pool concept, the front side of the house looks like as if it is painted to blue. Attractive blue scene of the house is extremely inviting for those who see it. Entrance to the house is provided with a pasarella that is custom-designed. The attractiveness of the reflection pool around the house is increased with jet effects. The segment pool that completely surrounds the house creates an amazing view together with the sea and the Sakız Island on the opposite side. We step down the teak pool laddder and reach a concrete jacuzzi which offers an extra comfort to the users. The front side of the second floor of the house looks like a central station and is designed as a bedroom. The porch on the left side of the house and the pool road is from teak tree. Istanbul, Turkey (April 4, 2014) - Santorini Water Fantasy, the new waterpark add-on to the existing Santorini theme park, has officially opened last fall. The opening event-attended by actress “Mew” Lalita (Panyophat) Sasiprapa and Thai rock bands Modern Dog and Jetset’er, who also performed at the media event, as well as members of the development team and local politicians - was held in September 2013. The US$3.25 million (100 million THB) waterpark is adjacent to the Cha-Am Premium Outlet Mall in the southern part of the Phetchaburi Province in central Thailand close to Bangkok.-the park has attracted thousands of guests eager to enjoy its US$3.25 million (100 million THB) aquatic attractions. The new waterpark, as well as the existing amusement park and retail center, is located in the southern part of the Phetchaburi Province in central Thailand. The facilities were conceived by Supoj Tantichirasakul, chairman of Pena House Public Co. Ltd. and its subsidiary. Those in the fashion world may recognize Tantichirasakul’s name due to his long experience as a fashion-apparel maker. In the business world, however, he is known for his creative thinking in developing new concepts for tourism.
Taking Advantage of Leisure-Segment Opportunities Owned by Supoj Tantichirasakul, chairman of Pena House Public Co. Ltd., the two parks are adjacent to the Premium Outlet Mall at Hua Hin. Pena House originally developed the mall and then added Santorini Park’s rides, shops and restaurants. Sitting on about 4 acres (12 rai), the new waterpark has attracted increased numbers of guests to the area, which already drew up to 10,000 visitors a day before the waterpark opened. The majority of guests are from Bangkok, though approximately 10-20 percent are tourists. Tantichirasakul says the new waterpark is expected to support his plan to transform Cha-Am’s main road into a new “Western Gold Coast,” similar to Australia’s Gold Coast. His company is expanding investments in Cha-Am, including other amusement parks and waterparks. “Santorini Water Fantasy is a thrilling new addition to our plan for enriching the tourism in this area,” Tantichirasakul adds. “We’ve already seen the excitement the new park offers to guests and have no doubt it will impact the entire region in a very positive manner.”

Waterslides Equal New Thrills The aquatic options of Santorini Water Fantasy include a mix of rides. Designed by Polin Waterparks, the park features 12 water-play areas and can accommodate up to 3,500 guests. The park’s main attraction is its King Cobra waterslide. Featuring bold red, black and white scales, the King Cobra’s impressive veneer extends along its massive 50-foot (15.24-meter) height and 260-foot (790-meter) length. The slide enables two riders to race along a circular path of twists, turns and surprises. Riders reach speeds of up to 32 mph (51 km/h) via water pressure of 3,875 gallons (14,668 liters) per minute through open and closed tubes. The ride ends just after they endure a heart-pounding plunge of nearly 25 feet (8 meters) down a 50-degree slope. The ride features Polin’s exclusive “Magic Shine” technology in translucent colors. Space Shuttle. This waterslide features an innovative design configuration, form and ride path. Fully open, fully enclosed and half-closed versions are available. Configuration options include exit via a pool or a run-out. Windigo. Riders on mats begin this attraction within enclosed slides that transform into high-speed multi-racer lanes. It offers the flexibility of including “Kamikaze” or “Freefall” options, and its high-capacity capability will keep lines moving.
