Dusty Payne is the latest WT surfer to join the elite Kinetik Racing team. His blend of innovation and Hawaiian style power surfing led KR on the hunt for a new all-round performance template. The DUSTY P signature fin has medium size dimensions with a little more rake than most giving added drive. This rake combined with a reduction in base width allows the fin to pivot and release while maintaining its speed. Its carbon placement is critical to the balance of the fins characteristics. The added height of the 12K carbon extends the strong “backbone” of the fin to ensure stability and controlled flex. Suitable for all medium weight surfers, the DUSTY PAYNE template will be a favorite for average to good conditions.
RECOMMENDED WEIGHT 65-85kg / 145-185lbs
Front Fins: BASE: 115.5 HEIGHT: 115 RAKE: 125.5˚
Jack Freestone - 2 times World Jnr Champion (2010 & 2012) and Kinetik Racing bring you the Jack freestone signature template. A combination of Jacks favourite KR templates (P3, JP-5 & BI-7) this master blend delivers the most aerial driven fin in the KR range. KR have spent the past year testing and refining templates with Jack in a wide variation of boards and wave types. In particular, beach breaks and waves most expected in the QS. The result is the ideal fin for all surfers looking to improve there game in and around the lip. The strongest and stiffest 12K carbon has been used within a new base shape to accurately deliver the flex where needed. With the majority of carbon in the front edge providing stability and the reduced back edge allowing additional release; expect a loaded release of energy to project your surfing to a new level.

What is Skin Cancer Skin cancer is the uncontrolled growth of abnormal skin cells. It occurs when unrepaired DNA damage to skin cells (most often caused by ultraviolet radiation from sunshine or tanning beds) triggers mutations, or genetic defects, that lead the skin cells to multiply rapidly and form malignant tumors. - Scaly or crusty growths (lesions) caused by damage from the sun’s ultraviolet (UV) rays, actinic keratosis (AK) is also known as solar keratoses. They typically appear on sun-exposed areas such as the face, bald scalp, lips, and the back of the hands, and are often elevated, rough in texture, and resemble warts. Most become red, but some will be tan, pink, red, and/or fleshtoned. Untreated AKs can advance to squamous cell carcinoma (SCC), the second most common form of skin cancer, and some experts believe they are actually -DYSPLASTIC NEVI (atypical moles) are unusual benign moles that may resemble melanoma. People who have them are at increased risk of developing single or multiple melanomas. The higher the number of these moles someone has, the higher the risk; those who have 10 or more have 12 times the risk of developing melanoma compared to the general population. Dysplastic nevi are found significantly more often in melanoma patients than in the general population. -The most dangerous form of skin cancer, these cancerous growths develop when unrepaired DNA damage to skin cells (most often caused by ultraviolet radiation from sunshine or tanning beds) triggers mutations (genetic defects) that lead the skin cells to multiply rapidly and form malignant tumors. These tumors originate in the pigment-producing melanocytes in the basal layer of the epidermis. Melanomas often resemble moles; some develop from moles. The majority of melanomas are black or brown, but they can also be skin-colored, pink, red, purple, blue or white. Melanoma is caused mainly by intense, occasional UV exposure (frequently leading to sunburn), especially in those who are genetically predisposed to the disease. Melanoma kills an estimated 8,790 people in the US annually. - Bottom Line don’t risk it... get check by a dermatologist NOW... don’t put it off. I recently was talked to someone that was in the store and he wasn’t to concerned about something on the back of his leg. But his wife suggested he should get it checked. Lucky he listened because it was something that, if left alone could of cause some major problems in the future. Its wasn’t even in an area that was getting exposed to the sun, I know weird yeah? Any ways ... this is my warning to you!!! Call the doc now and schedule your check up. I started making Sur0boards to be different. Coming from a small island where there is no surf culture, and only 5 surfers, it wasn't really dif0icult, and at the age of 16, this was nothing unusual. Now more than 20 years later, I still have the same need to be different, carving my own path, and standing out amongst others. Feeling fortunate to have learned the art of sur0board making in the traditional sense, something that feels lost nowadays. I have come up through the ranks, starting with ding repair at the age of 19 in my 0irst real factory setting. Within a year’s time, I found my self as a shaper in the same factory. I got my own room, orders pinned to the wall. Being able to work with a lot of great shapers has given me con0idence. It feels like each one of them has seen something in me that they wanted to pass down. Their knowledge, and expertise have helped guide me into what I am today. Having done the production shaper thing, shaping for Town & Country, Blue Hawaii, to name a few. In 2002, I was lucky enough to travel to Japan, shaping 60 to 80 boards in two to three weeks time. But something was lacking in shaping numbers. While the shape itself is the biggest, most important part of any board, there was more I wanted to do to express my ideas and style as a shaper. So in the last few years, I was able to secure my own place, where I can have complete and utter control of the quality. Show my style in more than just the shape, but in the art of glassing as well. People always ask me what is the next thing. My reply is "I don't know, I'm going backwards". I was taught at the very beginning that there is no such thing as the perfect board. It’s like playing the guitar, easy to learn, but hard to master. That’s what keeps me interested and being challenged by this craft.
