I’m sure you hear the news all the time on how unpredictable the economy is, it’s so up and down. And so many businesses coming and going but with your help and others in the community I’m super happy to say we’ve made it to our 18th Birthday!! Officially we turned 18 on NOV 25th. For the first 5 or 6 years it was tough. I totally gamble my savings on this and just cash out my 401k and drop everything I had into it. At the time surf brands like Roxy , Quik, Gotcha and others were hot. So many stores were pressuring the manufactures not to sell to us. I can go on and on about how we try to stay nimble but all in all it came down to our local customers that kept us going. Thank you very much from the bottom of my heart for the support. You may know by now that I travel to Japan Often. The culture is rich, food is great and the hospitality is awesome. A Mon - Sat good friend of mine Heidi Taam recently went to Kamakura 10:30-7:00 (just south of Tokyo) and she could not stop telling me about Sun the whole trip. She knows plenty of people in Japan because 10:00-6:00 she’s in the magazine industry. She coordinations most of the Japanese magazine in Hawaii. So while in Japan she was able to enjoy not only the tourist spots but the local good grinds spots. After about an hour of talking about how Christmas good Japan was she mentioned it would be so awesome if we can take Local people New Year Day to Japan and do a tour. One thing lead to another and we now have a pretty good tour planned for April 2nd. If you’d like to join us let me know as soon as possible, it’ll Telephone be just a small group total local style, nothing fancy but lots of fun. 808 Here’s a what Heidi had planned out. We all meet in Kamakura and travel to a small island 597-9055 and stay at a traditional Ryokan, that’s a Japanese style hotel with bath house, next morning meet with the sales@ Local Canoe club paddle around the island, then hawaiian check out some temples. This just a brief over view but southshore.com we’ll be doing this with some Japanese local surfers and paddlers so I think it would be totally fun. But we need a head count, we are working out the details for cost for the packaged Located on the deal.
