The tide is turning for the yachting market as it struggles to offer new and current customers better value. Hawk Yachts is at the forefront of this required market shift. Captain Matthias Bosse – Master Mariner, Ice Master, Executive Chairman of Hawk Yachts

Rugged luxury Cape Hawk is a 48m superyacht that’s designed to take you places – places you might not expect. Ready for any voyage in any climate, it opens up a world of experiences, from breath-taking Polar expeditions to relaxing tropical holidays.
Rugged luxury
A true voyager Designed from the outset with function and practicality in mind, Cape Hawk is robust and ocean-ready. Its 6,000 mile range sets you free to visit almost any location on earth. While you won’t seek out difficult conditions, nature can be unpredictable, and this is the vessel that will keep you safe at sea.
— AL ASK A —
Passing through the Northwest Passage, arrive in the archipelagos of Alaska to fish for wild salmon amongst the snow-capped, fir-lined mountains.
Rugged luxury
In good company Members of our team are among only a handful of individuals worldwide that have first-hand experience of both expedition cruising and captaining large luxury yachts. Led by Captain Matthias Bosse, working with renowned naval architects Laurent Giles and Southampton Solent University, Hawk Yachts have brought their detailed understanding of the challenges of worldwide voyaging to develop a superyacht that is effortlessly comfortable in any climate.
— SOUTH AFRICA —
Cruise miles of rugged coastline in search of breaching humpbacks, schools of dolphins and dive-bombing gannets.
Advanced engineering
HULL LINES Cape Hawk hull lines have been considered down to the last detail with trim and roll reduction critical elements of the design process. TANK TESTED The hull has been fully tank tested at Southampton Solent University. PITCH PERFECT Pitching motion has been reduced with the development of wave deflectors on the bow. AHEAD OF THE CURVE With the first hull going into production, Cape Hawk is well advanced in its development.
With design and development well underway, the advanced hull concept has been tank tested and the first hull will soon be entering production.

LOWER BUILD COSTS Costs can be reduced and reliability improved by using commercial engineering where appropriate
Hawk Yachts is challenging the industry’s status quo, developing superyachts as a viable investment opportunity. From conception, the Cape Hawk project is designed to minimise initial costs and maximise revenue from charter.
and adding superyacht luxury where required. EASIER TO MAINTAIN Equipment and propulsion have been kept simple and accessible, so they can largely be maintained by the crew. Remote monitoring of systems can identify the health of components, enabling conditionbased maintenance. A 52 WEEK SEASON Revenue is increased through an extended season, and the ability to reach destinations that appeal both to experiential holiday makers as well as traditional charter clients. SUPPORT BEYOND DELIVERY The Hawk Yachts team can help with expedition planning, yacht management and charter sales. MADE TO GENERATE PROFIT Cape Hawk has been designed to maximise function and returns from the start making it a viable investment opportunity.

Open all year round It’s always summer somewhere. A true voyaging superyacht needs to be just as comfortable in hot weather as it is in the cold. Get off the beaten track to a shimmering tropical isle or awe-inspiring winter scene anywhere in the world, 52 weeks of the year.
IN THE COLD Larger boilers keep the vessel warm in very low temperatures. Heated door seals prevent freezing. Polar water intakes introduce steam and compressed air to prevent blockages. Oversized machinery protects against the impact of ice.
IN THE HOT Large air conditioning units keep the vessel cool in tropical climates. Substantial engine cooling systems are effective even in the 35°C waters of the Amazon. Cooling systems designed to be easy to clean allowing silt from rivers and estuaries to be cleared.
— VIETNAM — Sail among a thousand islands, wander through streets unchanged for centuries, then head to the market for a bowl of Bun bon am bo.
Changeable in nature As temperatures change so do your choices. Rigorously designed spaces flex to maximise comfort, and get the most from your journeys, no matter what the weather.
— THE KIMBERLEY —
Open up the beach club with a folding swimming platform or rearrange the area for a gym and spa, with room for 12 in the sauna.
Jump off the rib and on to fine white sand: azure waves behind, red sandstone rocks ahead and no one else for miles.
The sun terrace offers shade from the midday heat with a removable bimini, or the warmth of a firepit as it transforms into a winter garden. The lounge is a cosy living room or cinema on cold days, then opens to the sun terrace in warmer climes to create an outdoor cinema.
Look out, then look up The most dramatic scenery is often above you. Cosy in the Arctic and cool in the tropics, lose yourself in your surroundings in the all-glass observation pod.
— HIGH NORTH —
Grab a seat and get cosy as Northern Lights dance across the sky and mountains repeat on the waters below.

Roam free Exploring is about more than range. Robust simple engineering, large stores and systems designed for autonomy set you free in remote locations for up to six weeks.
MAINTAINED AT SEA Simplified engineering can be maintained by the crew, on the go. REDUNDANT SYSTEMS Back up systems allow the yacht to operate even after mechanical failure. GENEROUS STORAGE FACILITIES Large stores enable extended voyages

away from shore based infrastructure. REDUCED ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT Oversize water treatment, waste incinerator and refrigerated waste allow the yacht to operate in sensitive areas with minimal effect on the environment.
Anchored thousands of miles away from anywhere, snorkelling in clear waters, exploring the reef, barbecuing on the beach – perfect.
The tender area The large garage allows for tenders and zodiacs up to 8.5 metres in length, which enable longer trips and access to the shore even in adverse conditions. So now you can explore those shallow, narrow areas where the yacht can’t go. — A N TA R C T I C A —
Crunch on to the snow and meet your first Gentoo penguin on this crisp, clear Antarctic summer day – a Christmas to remember.

There’s space to launch and operate a passenger submersible, like the Super Yacht Sub 3-500LX from U-Boat Worx. SCIENCE LAB Remote locations bring the opportunity to study sealife, and part of the tender area can be converted to a wet lab.
Cruise through the world’s largest archipelago, explore reefs brimming with life and share a moment with a fever of manta rays.
Take it to the bridge Take an interest in the voyage, not just the destination. Share the bridge with the captain, learning how the vessel operates, discussing the finer points of navigation, enjoying the views.
— AMA ZON — Follow the river’s twists and turns, listening out for sounds from the forest, then dive in as freshwater dolphins pass by.

— G A L A PA G O S —
Visit Charles Darwin’s favourite island and see creatures unknown anywhere else on earth: the marine iguana, giant tortoise and Sally Lightfoot crab.
Make an entrance There’s more than one way to board Cape Hawk.
Enter at sea level when returning from an expedition, removing dirty outer gear in the lobby and heading to the spa for a shower before warming up in the sauna. Greet your guests at the stern when you want to impress, serving drinks from the bar, leading them along the glass walkway where your tenders are on show. Stroll back up the passerelle, with treats bought from local artisans and stories of the day spent on shore, when the yacht is berthed side-to.

The lap of luxury
Don’t hold back With spaces designed to open out to the heat, doors become balconies and walls slide back to make extra room inside. All the while the yacht is kept light, airy and safe, with the addition of drop-in panels and railings.
— MALDIVES —
Dive off the platform and into the ocean, deeper and deeper, exploring the reef and its vividly coloured fish, spotting a whale shark in the distance.
Details make the design Cape Hawk is wide for a 48m yacht, with a 9m beam. A volume of 690gt adds up to plenty of space across its five decks, which includes guest accommodation and communal areas inside and out.
