Exactly one year ago, the first issue of HAZE magazine was actualized after months of conceptualizing and deliberating. With a room full of novices, the process was not exactly an easy one. However, with the help of an extremely dedicated and talented group of individuals, what started as a casual idea slowly manifested into an actual product and recognizable brand. We have our amazing team to thank for that. Met with success, we are excited to continue what we love doing most: exploring and featuring the unique creative culture native to New York City. In our sophomore issue, the writers and photographers of HAZE will take you in, around and even under the city in order to seek out the inspired and the inspirational. In Volume Two, we stop by Dagny + Barstow on the Bowery to chat with Emily Titelman and Meredith Blank about their new fashion-meets-art storefront, hang with skaters of the Wu Crew under abandoned overpasses in Brooklyn, and chill with Broadway actor turned pop-soul singer Nick Blaemire in the East Village over coffee. Among other bits and pieces, we’ve also packed this issue chock full of the words and works of local writers and photographers. We truly hope that you’ll enjoy this issue as much as we enjoyed creating it. Cheers Val Chan Founder, Editor-in-Chief
