THE ABSTRACT
Road accidents have been a major challenge in paving a socially sustainable urban environment. 3700 lives are gone daily because of road accidents worldwide. In Malaysia particularly, road safety issues are a major drawback to social wellbeing as the country recorded an inclining number of road accidents over the past decade. A detailed study shows that road safety awareness and behavior in the local society are in an urgent state to be improved. The Embassy of Safety speculates the efforts and research to raise the awareness of the locals towards road safety efforts and thus impacting their behavior on the road for a better urban environment. An awareness center is strategically proposed in Raja Chulan Road where the major intersections of the 20 listed road accidents hotspots in Greater Kuala Lumpur are situated. Inspired by Volvo’s safety efforts, the center is speculated to embody the physical attributes of an ambassador that is translated into architectural tectonics. The wasted resources and lives from road accidents are hypothetically circulated into sustainable building materials and emotionally evoking experiences, choreographed by the spatial articulation. The notion of embassy redefines the endgame of spreading safety messages to society. Embassy ; the function or position of an ambassador, [in-tangible] the building in which an embassy works, [tangible]
1.1 From the Ashes : narration of the physical manifestation of an ambassador that stood upon countless bodies and junk of cars to form an ever growing efforts to save more lifes. 1.2 Plague of the Road : Rethinking the urban faces of Raja Chulan Road to represent and convey the message of safety in the middle of bustling urban environment 2.1 The Four Horsemen: Translation of ambassadors’ efforts into architectural tectonics that is differentiated with layers of materiality and detailings

CORPORATE INNOVATIVE & EXHIBITION HUB Corporate client from popular LIFESTYLE brand clusters:
AUTOMOTIVE
FASHION
The design project aims to produce a design proposal of a Corporate Innovative and Exhibition Hub by taking the inspiration from a hypothetical top brand corporate body. The building not only exhibits the product but also will envision the physical manifestation of the corporate body’s vision and mission into a tangible experience. Located in the bustling urban environment of Raja Chulan Road, Kuala Lumpur, the students are expected to solve the local environmental and social issues through their architectural solutions that are driven by the hypothetical clients’ approach. Critical analysis on the issues and client vision is expected to be done thoroughly to deduce the architectural intervention.

Total Malaysian Road Accidents Count Malaysian Ministry of Transportation (2020)
Road accident is a long-rooted problem in the Malaysian society. The country ranks 2nd in South East Asian nations with the highest accident rates in recent years. The region of Klang Valley or Greater Kuala Lumpur is the key economic region for the nation development thus often faces the challenge of increasing road accidents especially in urban area. The heavy reliance of private transportation of Klang Valley raised the probability of road accidents. It is estimated that 87% of the Klang Valley’s population mobilise by private vehicles everyday.

KOLB’S THEORY OF EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING
diagram retrieved from SimplyPhyscology.Org
David Kolb’s model of Experiential Learning stipulates the four stages necessary in bringing an effective learning process through different styles. The spatial configuration is heavily guided at the initial stage by crafting the flow of information received by different roles in the embassy. The flow articulation is then further incorporated and tailored accordingly to spatial coherency and effectiveness.

Entrance with distinctive repetition of the buttress denotes the distinction of the entry point. A suspended garden is placed on top of the extruded roof to further enhance the welcoming sense. Articulation of material for ground covering is being made porous to cater to the flood-prone situation of the site as it is one of the lowest-lying points in Bukit Bintang. The porous turfing and surface provide sufficient discharge for the frequent tropical downpour of Kuala Lumpur.

FERROCK CONCRETE Invented and patented by Dr. David Stone, Ferrock Concrete holds a potential to solve the carbon emission issue of Concrete that priomarily sourced from typical portland cement. Replacement of cement with recycled steel dust would resulted in the needs of using Carbon Dioxide for the curing process. The steel dust is hypothesized to be recycled from wasted car wreckage from existing crash test center and road accidents.
