This year, DesignKC magazine launched an annual competition to recognize outstanding projects and professionals in the home design industry in Kansas City. All professional architects, designers, builders, remodelers, landscapers and artisans were invited to enter. KCHBA Members Celebrate at REMY Awards

The Remodel of the Year (REMY) awards program is held annually by the National Association of the Remodeling Industry - Kansas City Chapter (NARI KC). Entries are judged on a 75 point system that includes how well the client’s needs are met, functionality, overall aesthetic appeal, evidence of craftsmanship, and innovation of materials and/or methods used. For entries that score 70 points or more, an All-Star designation is given to that project. Congratulations to KCHBA Members Mission Kitchen and Bath (Residential Bath $25,000 to $50,000

Summit Homes Partners with Care Beyond the Boulevard

Summit Homes recently presented Care Beyond the Boulevard with two renovated rooms at the Lotus Care House of Kansas City. Care Beyond the Boulevard has partnered with Lotus House to use their rooms for medical respite. These rooms were renovated for adults experiencing homelessness when they are discharged from the hospital and have nowhere to go to recover. Summit Homes partnered with other KCHBA members for this great cause, including Ferguson, Northcraft, Frontier Restoration, McCray Lumber, SCI and REW Materials.
