Mellick Recognized as Bonner Springs Teacher of the Year

Ryan Mellick is a Master Carpentry teacher at Bonner Springs High School, recently named Teacher of the Year for the Bonner Springs School District. Ryan and his students have been very active in the KCHBA Workforce programming over the past several years, participating in the KC MADE competition and the Parade of Playhouses. He has been a persistent spokesperson for the skilled trades and is dedicated to investing in the future of the construction industry’s workforce. The KCHBA would like to congratulate him on this well-deserved honor! As a small token of appreciation, Ryan was recently presented with a one-of-a-kind art piece featuring a KCHBA version of his recognizable 1948 Studebaker M5.
