Parade Winners Celebrate in the Northland

KCHBA members celebrated the spring Parade award winners at the View at Briarcliff on Wednesday, May 3. This award season saw 189 contest entries. Pick of the Parade recipients are judged based on the quality of materials used, workmanship and overall construction. Distinctive Plan and Design award winners are recognized for outstanding interior design and architecture. Winners are determined based on furnishings, accessories, functionality and curb appeal of the homes. The KCHBA hosted teams comprised of 35 industry professionals from across the Midwest on April 27 and 28 to evaluate the entries.

Emcees for the evening included the following KCHBA committee and council members: Brian Tebbenkamp (KCHBA 2023 President), Bryan Keller (Parade Committee, chair), Bill Regan (Foundation Committee, chair), Michelle Schneider (Foundation Committee, co-chair) and Sean Flandermeyer (Builder Committee, chair). Special guests included Dave Pfortmiller, Construction Trades Instructor at Olathe Advanced Technical Center. Pfortmiller spoke on the Home Builders Institute (HBI) curriculum and how it’s preparing students for careers in home building.
