Young Building Professionals
YBP Members - We are already rolling into the 4th quarter here and I feel our industry is building at a steady pace. We have a few events on our calendar for October and we would Kelli Fleek love to see all of our YBP President members attend. Our next Hard Hat Happy Hour is Thursday, October 1 at Zeng Granite. Come and enjoy the start of fall weather, network with our fellow peers and relax. October’s Midday Meetup is scheduled at the HBAL office on Tuesday, October 20. Sarah Collins will be speaking to the group about how to sell yourself and networki efficiently. If you would like to attend either of these events, RSVP with Andrea at the HBAL office. Our officers are working on new event ideas for 2021. More details to come! Hopefully we are all adapting to the new norm and changes in our industry.

YBP is looking for individuals who would be willing to serve as secretary or vice president in 2021. This is a great opportunity to develop leadership skills, network with like-minded professionals and have a hand in the direction of the

Join a New Committee
With the creation of two new events for 2021, we will need creative minds to join these new event committees. Since the Officers are still planning, we are unsure exactly what the committee needs are, but we do know we will be looking for fresh perspective, time and leadership. Sarah Collins is a seasoned career coach who started her career working with college students in higher education. Through this experience she was able to work one-on-one with young professionals helping them as they transitioned to and within professional careers. Sarah is also a Certified Gallup Strengths Coach and always uses a strengths-based approach when coaching clients. As a seasoned presenter and teacher, Sarah is able to assist organizations in thinking about how they utilize their teams’ strengths to enhance their culture or to provide additional professional support to their employees. We know employees who are engaged at work are more productive. She comes in to organizations and works with managers, teams or individuals on how to use strengths to meet their goals. Sarah brings energy and enthusiasm to any interaction. Her strengths allow her to come into any situation with an upbeat attitude and a mission to act.
