Vishal Gondal faces police complaint over comment on real money gaming platforms

nCore Games’ Vishal Gondal tweeted about online gambling apps a few weeks ago and received legal notices for accusing real money gaming players. He was sent six identical notices by online rummy players. Notices claiming damages of upto INR 70 Lakh have been sent to Gondal for his comment on online rummy platforms. Gondal’s lawyer highlighted that several real money gaming platform users lose a significant amount of cash. This legal issue between Gondal and real money gaming platforms took place at a time when several state governments have been imposing a ban on online gaming portals.

Uttar Pradesh plans to enact a law to control online gambling Rummy Culture collaborates with sports legends to promote a campaign

Uttar Pradesh state government will be enacting a law to regulate online gaming and online gambling as the central government will be scrapping the Public Gambling Act 1867. This will mandate the state government to issue laws to control gambling. Chairman of state law commission, AN Mittal told a media organization that a draft is being prepared to look into this law stringently. The law will also have special provisions to keep a check on online gambling. With this, Uttar Pradesh will become the latest state to address the subject of online gambling and the state has joined the bandwagon along with Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala. Rummy Culture, founded by GamesKraft has introduced a campaign called ‘Champions yahan bhi bante hain, Rummy Culture, Champions ka culture.’ This campaign aims at breaking the taboos surrounding rummy and features legendary sports stars like Harbhajan Singh, Abhinav Bindra, Mahesh Bhupathi, and Pankaj Advani.
