Team Vitality Announces All-Indian CODM Roster
Europe’s most famous esports brand, Team Vitality, has announced an all new Indian team for its Call of Duty Mobile (CoDM) roster. This move has come as a part of its expansion plans in India. The new team will consist of captain Arav ‘MonK’ Narang and team mates Armaan ‘Moonscope’ Dharni, Akshan ‘Argon’ Madhani, Priyank ‘DEATH’ Birajdar, Samruddha ‘SAMS’ Ghadge and Samartha Ganesh ‘JOKOs’ Ghadge. The team will be managed by Melson ‘mello’ Miranda, a popular esports content maker, and coached by Harnoor ‘Toxy’ Mutneja, a veteran CoD player. “Our aim was to start an esports team in India that would have its own unique identity while imbibing core Team Vitality values. We are very happy with the roster as they have the right skills, as well as the potential be the No.1 team. We are eagerly looking forward to making our mark in a brand-new category,” said CEO of Team Vitality, Nicolas Maurer.

Global Esports Federation teams up with UNESCO
The Global Esports Federation (GEF) has announced that it will collaborate with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) to help them attain global sustainability goals. The two organisations have been working on their own programmes, namely the GEF #Elevate 2030 and UNESCO’s Fit for Life. As an active agents of change, they seek to support the sustainable goals by using pooled resources and activating the world’s esports and sporting communities to work on ‘building back better’ as part of their initiative.
Nodwin Gaming gets USD 22.4 Million from PUBG Mobile Developer
Indian gaming company, Nodwin Gaming, received a whopping USD 22.4 Million from Krafton, the South Korean developer behind PUBG Mobile. Nodwin Gaming, a subsidiary of Nazara, recently went public. Akshat Rathee, the co-founder and MD of Nodwin Gaming said that the investment from Krafton would go a long way in developing esports in India. “With Krafton coming on board, we have an endorsement from the mecca of gaming and esports, South Korea, on what we are building from India for the world based on our competence in mobile first markets,” he said.
