Yours Forever: Goonjan and Shachi Mall

The phrase ‘love is in the air’ aptly defines the solid relationship that poker pro Goonjan Mall and wife Shachi Mall share. For the February 2021 edition, we spoke to Shachi about their celebration of Valentine’s Day and more. Shachi reminisces about they met. “Goonjan and I first met 11 years ago at a coaching class. Both of us were preparing for our respective MBA entrance exams,” she says. Now, that’s what you would definitely call destiny.

The stunning pair is among the most beloved couples in the Indian poker circuit. When asked about Goonjan’s choice of being a professional poker player, the gorgeous Shachi says that she wasn’t surprised about his decision as the poker dynamo’s choices have always been unconventional. She also added how Goonjan puts in his 100% in any and every endeavour he pursues.

While talking about The Elite INR 40 Lakh GTD winner, Shachi also mentions how her husband made some brave choices like quitting a well-paying corporate job, venturing into the start-up arena and taking up poker professionally. That’s not all, when it comes to admiring each other’s qualities, the gorgeous pair compliment each other really well. Interestingly, Goonjan being patient is one quality that Shachi admires a lot.

The beautiful couple welcomed a baby boy in November 2020 and this Valentine’s Day will be extra special as they have an addition to their family. Shachi is delighted that after almost a year they will be travelling to Chikmagalur with their little one, hoping to make this day a remarkable one.
