A Dedicated Past, An Aided Present and An Empowered Future By Donna Amo

s the gaming sector steadily emerges as one of the top industries in India, gaming content creators and influencers are fast becoming a favorite way for brands to market their products. While the industry may still be at a nascent stage in the country, there is no doubt that it holds a lot of career potential for aspiring gamers and content creators alike. However, while there is no shortage of talent, many of these gamers still lack the experience and knowledge to monetise their content. Building dreams Started in 2019 by two passionate entrepreneurs, Abhishek Aggarwal and Shivam Rao, Trinity Gaming was founded with a vision to help gamers turn their passion into a successful career. “Abhishek and I always had an entrepreneurial spirit in us. We started out as freelancers and saw the huge potential that the gaming market had. So, we left our other jobs to fully focus on our freelance work. In 2020, we saw the esports boom and decided to register

On the topic of why they decided to venture into the gaming vertical, Rao replied, “When we started out, the gaming scene in India was just beginning to grow. We had a good connection within the community and a good relationship with brands and platforms, which is why I think it was a good decision to not venture out into other industries and to control our niche in the best way possible.”

While being a talent management firm, Trinity Gaming also focuses on influencer marketing and esports tournaments. With influencer culture booming thanks to social media, gamers and are now being sponsored by brands to promote their products. “A lot of mobile phone brands like Samsung and ASUS ROG for example, sponsor gamers to do an unboxing or promotional video so that their (gamer’s) audience are able to see the product,” said Rao. Gaming has come a long way in India, from being just a pass-time activity to a full-blown sport complete with its own athletes. When asked what is driving young minds to consider gaming as a viable career option, Rao replied, “When we look towards
