MIXBOOK Mixbook is an online scrapbook maker. Students can choose from a variety of templates each of which comes with dozens of page layouts. “Stickers” and text options are available, so students can be creative in their design. Registration is required. Books are shared via the Web.
KERPOOF Kerpoof offers several creation options, but the Tell a Story feature is the best option for an online story book. Students choose a ‘storyline’ and use drag and drop objects to create their story. Students can ‘Create a Snapshot’ to save the story as a jpg., Print to a PDF, or save the book if they register for an account.
READ WRITE THINK Read Write Think offers several variations of book creators. These sites are great because no student registration is required. Students will, however, have to Print to a PDF if they are to save their work.
FLIP BOOK Create up to ten pages in your flip book by adding text and pictures.
BOOK COVER CREATOR Choose from three book cover layouts and use a template to design a book cover.
STAPLESLESS BOOK Use templates to create a multi-page book that includes text and pictures.
ZOOBURST Students can create unique stories using built-in flash objects. Books can be rotated to view from every angle. Books are shared via the Web. Registration is required.
STORYJUMPER Students choose from a variety of templates to personalize their own stories. Scenes, props, photo, and text options can be added to the story. Instructions are available for the Classroom Edition. Click here for student tutorials.
MY STORYMAKER No registration required! This site allows students to choose characters, etc., but it writes the story for them—a great introduction to storytelling for younger or struggling students. Students can share their book or Print to a PDF.
ISSUU Upload files (Word, PDF, etc.) to create a book, magazine, journal, and more. Multiple files can be uploaded. Registration is required and sharing is done via the Web. (This presentation was made with ISSUU and Microsoft Word.)
