Message from Vice-Chancellor Fully-online degrees extend India’s larger plan to advance higher education opportunities to the di erent categories of knowledge seekers. In the 2020 Union budget, it was announced that India would allow the top 100 universities to o er full-fledged online degrees. Mahatma Gandhi University’s strive for excellence has helped us receive global and national acclaims in the form of several rankings and accreditations and thus got permission to start full-fledged online programmes with global intake. Online degree programmes use educational technology and online classes to access course material, communicate with peers and instructors, and complete exams from any location. This means that students with family responsibilities or full-time jobs or those with special needs and those living far away from the University can do programmes of their choice without relocating. Mahatma Gandhi University is keen to o er diverse academic programmes to educational seekers worldwide using its rich academic and infrastructural resources. Message for Centre Director The Centre for Online Education (COE) of Mahatma Gandhi University is keen to o er academic services beyond our traditional boundaries with the help of a state of the art student life cycle management system. This credit-based online degree system allows additional flexibility for both students and instructors in readily available e-course material followed by live lectures.
