The Hawaii Island Volcano Recovery Fund was established by HCF together with the AndersonBeck Fund, Jack's Fund and the Darrin & Darien Gee Family Fund to assist with recovery efforts in support of Hawai`i Island communities affected by the Kilauea volcano eruptions. HCF works directly with local organizations working to bring relief and recovery to communities affected by the volcano eruptions, including assistance to residents who have been displaced from their homes. AT&T has donated $35,000 and launched a text-to-donate campaign that benefits the Hawaii Volcano Recovery Fund at HCF. AT&T customers who want to help those impacted by the Kilauea volcano eruptions can donate $10 to the Hawaii Volcano Recovery Fund at HCF by texting "VOLCANO" to 50555. Donations to the Hawaii Island Volcano Recovery Fund can be made online at hawaiicommunityfoundation.org. To ensure that every donation achieves its maximum impact, HCF will waive administrative fees for the Hawaii Island Volcano Recovery Fund for the first ninety days. HCF has a team based on Hawaii Island, who are in constant communication with nonprofits, and community leaders on Hawaii Island to assess needs and determine where these funds can best be utilized. On April 18, HCF along with Pierre and Pam Omidyar and two anonymous donors established the Kauai Relief and Recovery Fund. It has since received over $1.5 million in donations from
more than 300 generous donors in Hawaii and abroad. We recently received a donation of $100,000 by Jack Johnson who organized and headlined a Kokua for Kauai Benefit Concert on Kauai on May 12.
A large portion of the funds have already been distributed to Kauai organizations to help provide immediate and ongoing aid. Donations to the Kauai relief and Recovery Fund can be made online http://hawaiicommunityfoundaiton.org
