### MEDIA ADVISORY ### HONOLULU — Representatives from twenty-one Hawai‘i schools will meet to discuss how Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) programs are faring on their campuses. The meeting, on Monday, Feb. 26, will begin with a conversation about how the recent school shooting in Florida is resonating with local student populations. Some Hawai‘i teachers have voiced their belief in SEL programs’ ability to prevent future events from occurring as they develop students’ emotional regulation and have reduced disciplinary referrals in local schools.
