Boys’ Dress Code

Acceptable: Boys must wear a belt at all times.

Blazers:

Acceptable: Boys may wear solid color or tweed blazers to school.

Facial Hair:

Unacceptable: Facial hair is not allowed; boys must be clean shaven every day. No mustaches, beards, or long sideburns.

Hair Style:

Unacceptable: Extreme hairstyles are not acceptable, which includes but is not limited to, mohawks, extreme coloring, or designs. Students with hair style or color infractions will not be allowed to return to school until it is corrected.

Outerwear:

Unacceptable: No outerwear is allowed to be worn during the school day- this includes jackets and fleeces.

Pants:

Acceptable: Boys must wear dress pants or chino style pants (such as Dockers) that can be purchased from a retail store of your choice. Boys can wear any solid color pants.

Unacceptable: Joggers, cargo pants, painter/carpenter pants, corduroy pants, form fitting clothes including skinny cut and ultra low rise pants are not allowed. Pants are not acceptable if they are drooping, baggy, low rise or denim pants of any type. No rivets are allowed on any pants. Shorts are not permitted.

Piercings:

Unacceptable: Boys are not allowed to have any visible piercings during school hours. This includes but is not limited to, ears, nose, eyebrows, lips, and tongue. Gauges are not acceptable. Covering prohibited items is not permitted.

Shirts:

Acceptable: Boys can wear either a Holy Cross polo shirt from the Crusader Store or Crusader Sideline Store OR a short or long sleeve solid color, button down, oxford style shirt or that can be purchased from a store of your choice. Shirts must be long enough to be tucked. If a t-shirt is worn underneath a dress shirt, it must be solid in color with no print.

Unacceptable: Dickies and other cut shirts/collars are not allowed.

Shoes:

Acceptable: Boys must wear dress shoes OR slip-on or laced, solid color Vans or Sperry’s. Timberland boots (or work boot styles) are also allowed. Pants must go over shoes and boots at all times.

Unacceptable: Shoes cannot be an athletic brand (which includes but is not limited to, Nike, Adidas, Jordan, Under Armour, Converse, New Balance, Puma, Fila, Reebok, Avia). No sandals, slippers, moccasins, flip flops, crocs, backless or open toe shoes, rain boots, winter boots, duck boots, rubber boots, or athletic slides are allowed.
