Does Cloud Computing Matter? “At the corporate level, at the CIO level, the people have gotten past skepticism. They all accept that the cloud is here and it is going to make a big difference. But there is still a danger of being complacent, and I hear this amongst some CIOs that they still think that cloud would just be kind of a small addition to the traditional computing. Maybe they’ll use it for mobile computing, mobile services, mobile apps but I do think that there is a danger in being too complacent. So I don’t think it will be wise for every company to try to move too quickly to cloud. But I do think that all businesses should realize that this is going to be a fundamental shift in the nature of computing and you really need to start planning and experimenting now with all the different capabilities and stay on top of transition because you don’t want to fall behind because you put yourself at a disadvantage. “ said Nick while replying to several thought-provoking questions of HCL Technologies VP Anubhav Saxena who decided to catch Nick on camera and capture his thoughts on Cloud Computing.
