AQUATICS HDR is pushing boundaries in response to the need for swimming facilities to be better equipped to be truly inclusive with respect to accessibility, multi-generational programming, and multi-culturalism. This means taking a different approach to how we think about change rooms, pool design, public safety and other important criteria that are reshaping pools of the future. Our ability to be responsive to the shift towards “lifestyle” programming has changed how we design natatoriums. While competitive and leisure aquatics will always be core to the design of swimming facilities, new ideas are emerging that are invigorating design innovations that better serve current and future needs.
