How to Get Rid of Ingrown Hair Safely

..................................................................................................... Ingrown hair is one of the most terrible costs of trying to have a smooth skin. Apart from frequent hair removal, dead skin may also block the way for growing hair follicles and make them grow sideways beneath the skin. This ugly, red, painful bump can go away with time but if you are in a rush, try one of the following home remedies to help you get rid of ingrown hair safely and quickly. 1. Exfoliate with Sugar Make a mixture of white sugar with jojoba oil or extra virgin olive oil and 10 drops of lavender oil and tea tree oil. Scrub the affected area with this mixture gently in a circular motion for a couple of minutes. Then wash the scrub off your skin after leaving it on for 5 minutes with lukewarm water. Put the scrub in an airtight container in the fridge because you should repeat this process once daily. 2. Heal Inflammation with Black Tea Bags

Black tea reduces the itching and inflammation caused by ingrown hair because of the tea’s tannic acid content. Soak a tea bag in water then apply it on the affected area by rubbing it. You can also leave a tea bag in a cup of water for five minutes then mix the resultant solution with coconut water. Apply the mixture on the affected area using a cotton ball. Repeat this for a week to relieve the irritation. 3. Apply Salicylic Acid to Relieve Symptoms Salicylic acid can loosen ingrown hair and ease the redness and inflammation caused by it. Salicylic acid is a main component of aspirin. Hence, dissolve two aspirin pills in a few drops of water until it becomes a fine paste. Mix the paste with a little bit of honey. Do a skin test of the mixture before applying it on affected areas to make sure that your skin is not sensitive to it. If your skin doesn’t show a reaction, apply the mixture on the affected skin and leave it for ten minutes before washing. Apply this remedy twice a week until the symptoms are relieved. 4. Use Baking Soda Baking soda is good to use as prevention measure against ingrown hair before hair removal because it has antiinflammatory properties. It can also be as a natural exfoliate to ease redness and itching. Mix baking soda with little water to make a concentrated solution then soak a cotton ball in the solution then place it on the affected area. Wash the solution off your skin after leaving it for about 10 minutes. Apply this remedy daily for a week. 5. Remove Ingrown Hairs with Egg Shell Membranes Using egg shell membrane is one of the most effective ways to get rid of ingrown hair. Apply the membrane on the ingrown hair and leave it until it dries and shrinks then pull it off. This will pull the tip of the hair out with it. 6. Use Salt Salt is an amazing ingredient to fight ingrown hair as long as you make sure that your skin is not sensitive to it. The benefit of salt lies in its effectiveness in exfoliating in addition to improving blood circulation to relieve swelling and promote healing. Add a few drops of water to an amount of salt to make a paste then apply it on the affected area using a cotton ball. Wash it off after waiting for about 10 minutes. Repeat this remedy twice daily until you get desired results. You can also bath in water that is mixed with Epsom salt to help in loosening the curled up hairs.
