Definition
Heart disappointment (circulatory disappointment) is the powerlessness of the heart to pump adequate blood, oxygen and supplements to the different parts of the body to get together their metabolic needs.
Heart disappointment is not an illness condition It is a disorder which comes about because of other pathophysiological conditions occurring in different parts which put expanded request on the heart. Heart disappointment can be intense or endless.
Causes of Left ventricular failure Myocardial infarction (coronary artery occlusion) Valvular defects Pregnancy (when there is an underlying disease) Anaemia Rheumatic fever Pericarditis
Causes of Left ventricular failure Hypertension Arrhythmias Syphilitic heart disease Obesity Prolonged dietary deficiency e.g. beri beri Pulmonary heart disease due to disorders of the lungs e.g. chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)

Signs and symptoms of LHF Anorexia (loss of appetite for food) Decreased tolerance to exercise Pulmonary rales Reduced urinary output (oliguria) Rapid irregular pulse
