A Training & Certificate Program
OVERVIEW The HIV health care landscape is undergoing substantial changes. Implementation of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, the advancement of the National HIV/AIDS Strategy, redirection of HIV funding, recent biomedical advances, and the medicalization of HIV services are just some of the fundamental shifts transforming the public health system. In order to maintain and enhance the viability of ASOs to remain relevant in this dynamic health reform environment, HealthHIV offers the ASO Leadership for the Long-term: A Training and Certificate Program. The online, six-module, self-paced training curriculum provides relevant information and training to ASO leadership and emerging leaders on how to best serve their constituents in our rapidly changing healthcare environment.
HEALTHHIV’S ASO LEADERSHIP TRAINING & CERTIFICATE PROGRAM • A comprehensive and nationally relevant, self-paced, online training curriculum. • Features six, adaptable, one-hour courses on: business planning, leadership and change management, biomedical and strategic advances in HIV/AIDS, funding diversification, Medicaid and health insurance marketplaces, and assessing opportunity for partnerships, mergers and acquisitions. • For AIDS Service Organization (ASO) CEOs, Executive Directors, Program Directors, Executive-level Managers, Board of Directors, and other individuals in leadership and/or decision-making roles. • Offers a Certificate of Proficiency in ASO Leadership. • Online curriculum launches Summer 2014 on www.healthhiv.org.
